Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I'm used to being able to just grab a luggage cart myself, load myself, etc., but wasn't able. Don't get me wrong, they were excellent-I'm just used to doing it all myself. Room more expensive than Im used to, but it was close enough to concert, and had a beautiful view, so I splurged.
Staff was excellent all around, clean room, had the lakeside view so that was beautiful/relaxing to look out. Ice machine was close. Quiet. Close to concert, so walked vs waiting for a ride.

The person who checked me in was not welcoming. First she was unable to locate my reservation. I showed her my reservation with Booking.com. She said they dod not have the view. Next thing she found my reservation. She did not tell me we would have to pay when exiting the garage. She billed it to my card. It was not what she said as much as the uppity tone.
Proximity to Soldier Field. Comfortable bed, products in bathroom, nive shower, view good.

If you're there for a conference or an event at the arena, the location would be great. But the area was a bit dull. The Italian restaurant around the corner was great. The breakfast restaurant in the hotel was good too. Not much else around.
The hotel room was very comfortable and clean.

Whilst the staff were very friendly, they were not necessarily knowledgeable and didn't demonstrate initiative to provide help. I needed to inform a staff member that they had maps for the nearby McCormick Place Convention Centre (based on advice from a colleague who had collected one from there earlier) after they had told me they didn't know where a particular part of the building was (and made no attempt to help me further - they just smiled and said "I don't know"). When I inquired about wifi I was told I should have the app, and if not, to get it. It didn't work. The phone helpdesk were prompt at responding (after being on hold for ten minutes) and they advised to contact the front desk of the hotel if the issue occurred again. Which I did, and they again were unhelpful and said I'd need to talk to the phone line again. I spent over an hour trying to get wifi to work, which I needed to use for work.
The cleaning staff did a great job. The room was very comfortable and close to the conference centre. The lifts were also quick and organised well. Breakfast purchased at the dining restaurant was great. Breakfast purchased to go was average.

The parking lot was sort of confusing as the hotel has a separate parking lot and one staff member who attended my family during breakfast was sort of rude to us as we didn’t know we had to wait in line to be situated to a table, and going to our hotel room with the elevators and all that was sort of confusing; other than that though a great stay!
I loved the breakfast and the staff were nice. What mostly impressed was the luxury of the hotel itself and the cleanliness of the hotel and hotel room with the amazing view I had outside it really was jaw-dropping.

I wish there had been snack or drink vending machines. When the restaurants closed I couldn't find anything to eat or drink.
Everyone was so helpful and friendly. My room was clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay!

Kind of tough to say something that I didn't like. Nothing major, but: 1. We found it confusing to log into wifi with Bonvoy. 2. We ate at the Main restaurant, Woven and Bound, and the service was a little below par. That's all I can think of.
Beds very comfortable. Also confortable couch, with excellent view over Lake Michigan. Twice I caleld reception and asked for extra coffee for the coffee machne, and both times it was delivered quickly. (These kinds of things make a difference!)

At check in time 5 staff were standing around talking, I stood in line for 20 minutes as they ignored me. I finally just interrupted their conversation. No one else was in line at that time.

There was a misunderstanding regarding parking; valet versus self park. I could’ve swore I chose valet, when I made my reservations, but the self parking was close and not too inconvenient.
We came to Chicago to go to a concert at Soldier Field. It was a great location, close and safe to walk there and back.

We got locked out of our room couple times, we were told the lock from the inside is very sensitive. If they know about it, they need to change it because we were tired and wanted to go inside of our rim but we had to wait for someone to come and fixed that for us in order to get in our room! Also the host from the restaurant where they served buffet wasn’t very friendly!
