How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Tight parking lot. Only coffee and pastries offered.
Good size room. Comfortable pillows. Quiet inside very little street noise or hwy noise heard inside room.

This was a delightful discovery! The rooms are fully updated, spacious and extremely comfortable! Paolo at check-in was so warm and inviting welcoming! We will definitely return!

The breakfast pastries didn't have the usual choice but maybe just didn't get the usual shipment.
The owners are so kind. The rooms are clean if a little dated but the rooms are comfortable and pretty large. The towels are plentiful and soft.

I have nothing negative about our stay wish we could have stayed longer. We definitely will be back the next time we are in town
It was very clean the management was very professional and helpful with restaurants recommendations. Made us feel like family and secure while we stayed. I recently had an auto accident and needed more pillows to help me feel comfortable and management was able to accommodate me. Also property was very quiet. Room had everything as was noted in the advertisement.

The only thing we didn’t like was the small pillows.
Very well maintained and the owners were helpful and nice. We booked again for later in the year.

The staff was wonderful and helpful and the grounds were charming. They supply regular coffee but we drink decaf and they provided us with it daily. Even though we were close to the freeway we didn't hear any freeway noise.

We loved everything!
During our eight day vacation we stayed at five different hotels and this was definitely the best. Everything was perfect. Our room was exceptionally clean, well kept, had everything we could possibly need, and the management was exceptional. They treated us like family, were very caring, and enjoyable to talk to. Very nice property with a lot of trees, very clean, good wifi. It may be good option to see San Francisco and Napa Valley if you have a car.

The location is perfect, no matter what you're doing in the area. I love how you're able to open the windows if you want. The property is very private and surrounded by trees and greenery.

The carpet in the room was overdue for replacement

We would've preferred an additional chair for eating our meal at the counter area of the kitchenette.
Room was exceptionally clean, bed was very comfy, plenty of hot water & water pressure in shower. There were helpful, practical amenities (i.e, the "kitchenette" granite L-shaped counter space with fridge/microwave/coffee pot & select teas & condiments) & thoughtful touches in the room & bathroom (i.e., plenty of shelf space in both areas for belongings). Staff person who greeted us in the lobby was friendly, very helpful and professional. Thank you for fruit and water in lobby area! Unfortunately, we weren't able to enjoy the morning snacks - next time!
