How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

It is a noisy location and the bed was extremely firm. I had to buy a foam topper in order to sleep.
It was clean and convenient.

You have to be okay with some road noise from PCH.
Clean room providing good value for the location. Shower water pressure was great, I had plenty of hot water, and the room had a fridge and mircrowave.

The one criticism I have is that the WIFI signal is not consistent and can vary depending on the room location.
Manhattan Inn & Suites has been one of my favorite places to stay when I'm in the Southbay. The hotel is conveniently located near grocery, shopping, and restaurants. There is public transportation nearby. The area is quiet and feels safe. Other guests are quiet. The rooms have a small refrigerator and microwave, making it convenient when shopping at the nearby grocery store. The hotel provided coffee early in the morning. The hotel staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. Recently there have been some upgrades and remodeling.

1) All rooms are along the main street (Sepulveda), but the noise was fairly minimal. 2)The fridge was quite large for a hotel fridge with no kitchenette. 3) There was plenty of free parking in their lot (the driveway is easy to miss!). 4) The accessible room I booked at the last minute had a large bathroom with plenty of space. 5) The staff is honest--I left something quite valuable in the room when I checked out, and someone from the hotel called me to let me know about my left item within an hour of my departure.

Helpful staff and there are many shops nearby 🫶🏼
I liked the staff, i was not sure about the location and the noise when I arrived, so they were very nice and charged me for 1 night.

The only thing that would make this place better are nicer/bigger soaps and upgraded towels. (Towels were small and thin). Other than that, excellent. I will stay here again!
I loved the location, the staff and the room. The lady gave me a room on the first floor at my request that had two queen beds. It was clean, had a fridge, microwave & TV. I was able to park right outside of my room for easy loading/unloading. It’s right across the street from the Manhattan Village and a straight shot to the beach. I will stay here again!

If I had to critique something it would be that the Wifi signal can be weak sometimes. It's not an issue for someone casually browsing the internet, but if you're streaming video you might encounter buffering issues. Some of the rooms have wall outlets that are worn, so if you have a heavy wall plug for a laptop or other device there is potential for it to fall out.
I've booked rooms at Manhattan Inn and Suites for a number of years. The check in process at Manhattan Inn and Suites in quick and easy. The staff in polite, hospitable and accommodating. When I've had to extend my stay I've been able to keep the same room. The rooms are clean and well maintained; lamps, refrigerators, and microwaves are kept in working order. Rooms have toiletries, clean towels, and linens. Manhattan Inn and Suites is in a quiet area of Manhattan Beach. Neighbors and guests are quiet. The hotel is conveniently located near 3 bus lines, making it easy to travel to the beach and shopping. There are restaurants and a grocery store within a block of the hotel. Prices for stays are very reasonable.

It is right on the main road, which means there is some traffic noise
Safe neighboorhood, half hour walk to the beach and pier. Clean and spacious. LAX is a short bus / taxi ride away

Gave me one, thin, lousy towel. Not even a hand towel or a wash cloth. That’s pretty bad.
It’s three miles from the airport and across the street from the Manhattan Beach mall. Great and safe parking.

Nice, clean room. Right next to kind of a busy driving road, however you cant really hear any street noise or cars in room or when sleeping at night. slept great when jetlagged. Short walk to a grocery store and restuarants. Not far from airport.

Nothing really to say that we didn't like, again like a lot of motels accessibility might be a challenge for some, but I am sure that if you made a request for a ground floor room that they would be able to accommodate it, but this is not unique to this particular accommodation
Typical California motel, clean spacious room, comfy bed, free parking. Did everything you would want of a simple accommodation, also really close to the airport so good after a long flight not having a tough drive in LA traffic as your first thing but not noisy at all. also right near a really nice beach and several great bakeries so we would certainly use it for a first night stop over again
