How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewEverything was clean. Kitchenware was adequate, but we didn’t cook and eat at the unit. We were nearby what we needed so it was convenient for us.
We didn’t find anything objectionable, but thankful that what looks like a bit of construction across the way was quiet during our stay.

Verified reviewGreat location, 2 minutes walk from the beach. Costco and groceries store 15 minutes away by car. Guest are very responsive if you need them. The places was great. You can watch the rocket launches from the balcony (Cap Canaveral in 15 minutes away)

Verified reviewLocation was fine before a cruise, it fit 4 of us and was nicer and around same price as hotel would have been. Close to the port.
Air conditioning was not working and it was hard to get a hold of host to get it cooled down. It was an ecobee, so could be set and checked by the host prior to check in, this should be a must in Florida. Host eventually got it corrected, but it reset at midnight, leaving us hot again. - again this is a programmable (can be remotely programmed) thermostat.

We sincerely regret any frustration caused by the thermostat settings during your visit. To clarify for future guests, our Ecobee system is programmed to maintain a consistent temperature between 72–74°F, which is carefully chosen for optimal comfort and energy balance, especially in Florida’s high humidity climate. This temperature range is also important to prevent long-term damage to the AC unit, as running the system below 70°F can overwork the equipment and compromise its performance. That said, we are always happy to concierge-adjust the temperature and schedule settings based on guest preferences. We simply ask that guests communicate those needs directly through the Booking.com platform, where we consistently respond in a timely manner according to our verified host response rating. If other communication methods were used, we may not have been notified immediately through the system. We genuinely appreciate your feedback and are always working to fine-tune the guest experience. Verified reviewThe modernized facility was amazing 👏🏾. It was advertised as a sofa bed in the living room, but it was just a couch. We rented it for an overnight stay because we cruised out of port Canaveral, so it didn't make it a big issue. I later on found an air mattress. So all in all I have not 1 complaint. This place was absolutely amazing 👏🏾 😍

Bed was softer than my preference. Would have liked to have control of thermostat to at least bump temperature up or down a couple degrees. Slight musty smell when I first arrived, but it cleared up after a couple of hours with the AC running.

It did not appear the guest room or bathroom was cleaned. There was a hair on the guest bathroom floor and in the shower drain. There was also a wadded up paper towel under the bed.

Verified reviewWe like that we had the condo that was on the main level. It would have been really hard for my friend to climb up the stairs if it was on the 2nd floor because of her bad knees. Cleanest of the whole place. The beds were comfortable. Like the simple furnishings & the open concept of the kitchen and living room area. Nice spacious showers. Ceiling fans in every room. Big closet & hangers provided. The amenities in the kitchen. Washer & dryer. Easy to use keypad lock (not having to worry about losing a key) Check-in & Check-out was easy.
I understand the need for plastic fitted covers that go on the bed first, is to protect the integrity of the mattress, and then the actual cotton fitted sheet goes on over it. It's just that the plastic cover made my back sweaty. Other than that, I have no complaints.
