Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesAs this property was recently the Lusso, and many of the pics were in fact of the other l Davenport hotels, the depictions are misleading on most sites. Also, remodel fell far short in updating bathrooms. The plastic faucet knobs were literally what my grandmother had in the 70’s.
Extremely comfortable bed. Huge room. Great location

United StatesThe parking spaces in their parking area were really small. You had to really squeeze to get out. We were happy that we drove our car and not our truck because I don't think we could have even gotten into the space with a bigger vehicle.
We loved that we got some extras upon arriving! We got a free wine tasting and a meal credit to use at any of their hotels. It was a nice surprise! The check in process was easy. The bartender at the attached pub was great. He made really good drinks! We had breakfast across the street and the food was really good.

Excellent , well appointed room only with beautiful lobby area in the historic area, across the street from the Historic Davenport Hotel with full services for the Lusso. Friendly, helpful staff with great amenities-welcome glass of Prosecco, coupons for dinner and wine tasting. The luxury of the historic Davenport Hotel is beautiful experience. Excellent location for enjoying downtown Spokane and the parks along the river, a short walk away.

United StatesI didn't like being on the north side of the building. I will always request the south viewing rooms from now on. The black out blinds did not work well and I woke up when the sun came up.
I like the rooms and how large they are. Bed was comfortable and I liked that the clock had outlets on it. I liked the Complementary bubbly. Staff was always friendly and helpul. Even had a toothbrush my son forgot. The room was quiet.

Spacious and elegant room with pleasing decor. Very clean. And the mattress and linens are outstanding. Good location, too, in the heart of Spokane.

United StatesThe hotel was unique and very different from large chain hotels - which I loved! The hotel was small with beautiful woodwork, beautiful mirrors, and tall ceilings. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The front desk staff were exceptional and I loved the complimentary Champagne when I checked into the hotel. I was traveling alone and was initially concerned with safety in the downtown area. I walked in the downtown area during the day without difficulty. I visited the Davenport Grand and the Davenport Towers for breakfast - they were both conveniently within walking distance. I used the Valet service, which was located across the street. The Valets were excellent and my car was available each time within 5 minutes of my request. I would definitely plan another visit to the Davenport Lusso when I’m in Spokane.

United StatesThe only issue was noise. I was awoken at 2am by people on the street, then again at 6 am by a herd of elephants in the room upstairs from us, making a lot of noise for about an hour. Not really the hotels fault, I would just bring earplugs next time.
Quaint, comfortable hotel in a good location. It is walking distance to many restaurants and bars, coffee shops and the Comedy Club. Our room was lovely and clean. The hotel has a lot of character. The bathtub was great with ample hot water and water pressure. And Maddie at the front desk was wonderful. I love the 12 checkout time.

United StatesLoved this vintage hotel with its quirky hallways, that seemed like a movie set. The signature Davenport bed was so comfortable, wanted to stay longer. It was so convenient to have valet parking, knowing my car was in the secured parking garage was a relief.

United StatesBed was a little soft for our taste. The guest above us was stomping around for a while and my wife, who's a light sleeper, found the traffic noise at night to be disturbing.
Excellent location and the interior is very attractive. Room was spacious and comfortable.

CanadaI switched my card on the file through booking.com and then they automatically cancelled my reservation, luckily they reinstated it. But we ended up paying $200 USD extra because they didn’t give me my booking.com discount and price. Plus we upgraded on booking.com and we didn’t get our upgrade because of the card confusion. Also there was a downtown festival going on so half the roads were blocked off for HoopFest, but most of the roads downtown seem to be one-ways. And the front desk tried to explain where the parking was. But made it extra confusing. The self-parking is on W 1st Ave but because it’s a one-way you have to come down S Lincoln Street.
The staff were super nice, we were offered a complimentary glass of champagne. And the room was beautiful.

United StatesOver time, a theme has emerged of subpar service. Their QR code for room service does not work, and I had to call the restaurant 14 times to get them to pick up. They even hung up on me a couple of times. Once I was told they were too busy to take my order, and I insisted that they take it, and another time, I was told that they don't do room service (not true). This was immensely frustrating.
We have stayed at the Lusso and other Davenport locations numerous times for staycations. The Lusso has big, clean rooms, and the staff are generally nice.
