    Location. Greenery.

Music from early to late. It is piped into the grounds and penetrates the rooms.

I’ve stayed here before and love the grounds, the peacefulness of it all, and the saltwater pool. Oh- and the kitties and chickens roaming around. Everyone is so kind and lovely and there were the best complementary fresh s’more cookies that I have ever eaten!!!

2 things that bothered me a little- the room could have been cleaned a little better. There was a dead roach in the corner (not a huge problem and better dead than alive… but added to the uncleanliness), behind the nightstands was very dusty/spider webby and a bit of garbage, and a spider web in the shower. There were also some ants… but I also should have known better not to leave food out. Breakfast was delicious - I would have liked to have seen skillet potato’s instead of fried (little bit healthier)- but the person making breakfast was super awesome and friendly. And loved the lox bagels her made!! Super minor things- but figured I’d be honest-

The nature and garden vibe, also the complimentary breakfast was good! We also enjoyed the free Ukulele lesson, and hot spa.

The grounds were spectacular and very well cared for. Staff were polite mostly.

    1) Their website and marketing materials showed a restaurant onsite. This was actually closed. This was not disclosed. Therefore no dinner or lunch on site. 2) There is no housekeeping, No clean towels. Bed linens were dirty. Room was dirty. 3) The facility was supposed to have yoga classes but these were canceled last minute. Instructors didn’t show up. In five days we stayed we could attend one class even though the schedule when I booked showed 2 classes a day. 3) This was a terrible value for the money asked. $400 a night for a filthy little room with a lot of deceptive marketing.

    Nice ambience

Noise from the other room directly behind us. So no rooms have sound insulation. You can hear everything ! Need to supply a couple of glasses per room. Not good drinking our good wine out of paper cups. Or anything else for that matter.

The place is gorgeous. The grounds are amazing, and the rooms are elegantly done. This is a really beautiful place, very well-appointed. Incredibly peaceful and elegant.

Beautiful old plantation buildings with lots of history and charm. Pretty pool and relaxing stone hot tub. Restaurant onsite. Massage available. Great classes offered including yoga and breathwork. Really sweet and helpful staff.

Room had some issues. Rather dirty, and smelled like cat pee. There are lots of cats onsite and they must get into rooms sometimes. I tried airing it out but it didn’t go away. The rooms really need a deep cleaning and to be better maintained. The porch outside the room with outdoor sofa was nice, but also dirty. There wasn’t an easy place anywhere to plug in a phone or computer charger. No art or decorations in the room, felt a bit bare.

The staff member John was very helpful. He introduced the property and some nice restaurants in Paia to us. When I needed some ice to treat my injury because I accidentally hit the trunk lid, he helped us right away. We really appreciate his kind assistance. The breakfast was also pretty good!

    Nope.

It’s a nice location in a typical colonial style house, beautiful luxurious vegetation

Rooms are not cleaned every day, nor the bed or towels, rooms are not well equipped (no tea, no coffee, no TV), interrupters are not working properly, telephone works now and then. Sheets are stained even when new Staff is grey and not very friendly Restaurant is more of a cafeteria and is closed except on Thursdays One of the breakfast cook is friendly as a prison keeper

I literally loved every single thing about Lumeria. The salt water pool, the grounds, the breakfasts, the quiet. It was perfect. And it was also a good location with proximity to Haleakala entrance. It was nice to see upcountry Maui, which might actually be my favorite part.

    Not a thing.
