I chose to stay here since it was close to the pier. If you want to be closer to the beach, you’d have to drive.

It was a perfect space for a single traveler. Lose to walk to the action by the pier.

The room was very small. You had to use the mini fridge, coffee maker & microwave in the hall.

I don't like this type of remote check-in for a quaint property like this. Very impersonal, fees for all rule breaks ($15 for every hour. Late or early for check in and check out). It's very off putting. And for this irate it a 7. I arrived after a long day and had to read a list of rules and 9onditions, upload a photo etc. And they pandered for a tip for cleaning Staff

Everything is very good. Thank God for Simone or I would have been stranded by this high-tech check in system

Security cameras in our faces in the lobby -- especially on top of the refrigerator and in the coffee area. The placement of security cameras was peculiar and made my wife and me a little uncomfortable. I've stayed in lots of other places in Texas, in other states, and in other countries, and I've never seen cameras installed like that anywhere else. Parking was a little complicated and inconvenient . We had to find a spot to park on the street and put the hotel parking permit in the window until checkout.

Attractive architecture and interior. Clean and lively decor. Walkable yet quiet location. Friendly staff. After checkout, we could keep the car in our parking spot across the street for up to an additional two hours without the permit, and this allowed us enough time to walk to the Strand without paying for parking.

I had to take a cold shower in the morning because no matter how long I ran the water it never warmed up, not understanding this issue since the water was very hot coming out of the sink.

Cute neighborhood that we felt safe in. We just needed a comfy place to sleep and get showered up before our cruise. This fit the bill and we would book it again.

They really need to install handrails for the steps. Some of the steps out front are a little higher the the others. Handrails would make it much easier to get up and down.

Bathroom and bedroom was small (and we are from Europe and are used to small spaces), not sure if all rooms are like that, maybe we got the smallest room because we were there for 1 night (which I would understand). Not much space for a toiletry bag or to hang your towel to dry your hands with.

Great location to walk 10 mins to the Strand area (with shops and restaurants) and walk 10 mins to the Royal Caribbean cruise terminal (we were there for 1 night before a cruise). Nice neighborhood to walk around with beautiful oldfashioned houses. The hotel itself was well maintained and had a coffee and water station for all to use. I recommend it.
