it was a great surprise, loved the co-working areas, the sauna, the gigantic sports facilities. really cool and surprising weired (in a good way) space ! great coffee, breakfast, dinner etc too! in theory you wouldnt need to leave the place. also garage had echargers and was easy to access and not utterly overpriced. would totally stay there again.

Pool was closed Sunday afternoon. Buffet was $50pp not includung drinks, was terrible. Worst I've ever seen.

Truly a shame they have not renovated the rooms like the rest of the club. Bathrooms are so old and out dated. Really need renovating. Modern stall shower would be a nice start instead of tub to climb over. The room needs serious tender loving care ( paint chipped furniture, doors, walls, old windows, one of the windows would not even lock and shut, etc) All the reception staff was so very kind and so very helpful but lacked follow through; e.g., Room was not fully cleaned but twice and sheets not changed in 10 days despite repeated requests. QR code room service did not work requiring going to the bar to order and wait for it. Requested a luggage pick up to bring down to lobby- no one ever showed.

The Athletic Club itself is amazing. Gorgeous on each floor. Top of the line modern but with the old decor on the dining floors. Really beautiful. Location is good but limit. A bit sketchy out the front door. Rooftop, just lovely. The club spa: Dora the massage therapist- amazing. The staff was so very kind and so lovely. The Suite I was in was a very nice size and the decor was in a word old school funky. Horrid colours but I get it, in keeping with tradition. Views were great. Bed super comfortable. Overall a lovely place to be at Xmas.

One thing I'd say to look out for is that they do shut access to their buildings after certain times on a weekday and weekends. So if you're checking out and leaving luggages with the front desk, just make sure you bear this in mind as I was stuck at the entrace for quite a bit as no one was there at the front desk to let me in. Also, at this price point, I'd expect the hotel to at least provide a pair of slippers :)

The staff are really friendly there. If you're someone who has an active and sporty lifestyle, this will definitely meet your needs, the facilities are top-notch!

The walls are a bit thin--we can hear our neighbors through the closed adjoining door when they were talking. Even though the gym facilities are great, we were not given a lot of information on them during check in. Be sure to ask about specific gym facilities when you check in if you're interested in using them. Walking outside is a bit scary, but this is downtown LA so it's expected.

The hotel has a great pool for lane swimming. The room was clean, and there is a rooftop where you can go up to. The parking was convenient. There is a parking lot next door which has an elevator connected to the hotel (note that parking is extra).

The room was basic and dark, but it's ok, I was there for the fitness centre which was amazing

The facilities are great, I specially loved the cold plunges available.

Location was a little disappointing as people said walking here or the may be unsafe

Room wall and floor dark colour so room too dark dispute lighting being normal bathroom bit dated but fine. Coffee excellent we bought milk and put it in the fridge it facilitates were amazing 2 pools Jim and change rooms outstanding breakfast excellent

The room bathrooms were a bit clinical and out of date. Our room only had 1 window, so it was dark. We were awoken by jackhammers at 6:30 am on Saturday due to construction.

The location was close to some great venues and restaurants, although there was a lot of construction and some unhoused people. The facilities at the Athletic Club were great, and the common vintage spaces were fabulous.

I did not like that my credit card was charged more than agreed to on Booking without an explanation. I am sure that part of the additional was for parking but do not know what the rest was for. I was told when I checked out that a statement would be sent to my email. In spite of my sending three written messages of inquiry and a telephone call in which my husband was told that a statement would be sent "right away", a month later I still have not received a statement. In addition, I had reserved a room for my adult daughter and was assured that MY credit card would be charged. When my daughter checked in, however, her credit card was demanded. I later explained that I would pay, yet her card was still charged. (She received no statement either.) I have reimbursed her but lost the points I would have received on my credit card.

The room was comfortable, the staff friendly, and the location excellent.
