It’s rather dated and many things need maintenance. Bathrooms are rundown. That said, everything was very clean. It is very loud at night due to the location and the age of the building.

It’s a great deal and location can’t be beat. If your expectations are set right, it’s an okay place to stay (and spend $$ saved at one of the restaurants nearby). Owner and staff were nice and really trying to do what they can to make your stay comfortable.

Included breakfast was make your own waffle or eggs or biscuits with gravy, not a breakfast as far as I'm concerned, so wen across the road to a bakery. Buy the main complaint was that over a 3 night stay our room was not serviced at all, same towels and full waste bins.

The location was good and easy parking at hotel. Old world feel about the place made it feel homely.

A bit dingy, and breakfast was NOT adequate. No eggs, no proteins, only bananas, milk, juice, waffles, and homemade barley biscuits.

It is very out dated, musky smell, and had cobwebs near food prep areas during breakfast. Needs better sanitation in kitchen and food serving areas.

It was a great price, had very friendly staff, and was a great location. We were able to walk to Old Town and enjoyed local cuisines. I did like the character of the old building.

It was funky. The deck was facing the highway. Breakfast could have had some variety and lacked good coffee.

The location was close to old town. The room had lots of space, a couch and large tv. They had bags of chips in the room which was appreciated after a long ride.

Could use a little better housecleaning. It’s old and natural deterioration for the coast which is expected. Hard to keep up with that. But just a better vacuum and dust job.

Close to downtown, on site safe parking, quiet, friendly staff, homey feeling. Comfortable and clean bed and towels. Price is reasonable.

I wish it was just a little bit cleaner..

First of all, I can't say enough about Eric and sandy. They really just were wonderful. I just lost my mother who lived in Florence and my whole family was around trying to sort out details. They were flexible. They were supportive and they were very kind. The moral support was greatly appreciated. The biscuits and gravy are literally to die for. They go out of their way to make you a breakfast you'll love and they know all about Florence itself! You can book a more luxurious place. But you won't find anything as homey !

The Lighthouse Inn is authentic and quaint. The owners are super nice. It is cozy and comfortable, and unpretentious. I like that it hasn't been remodeled in a lame way. Yes, some of the decor is funky and outdated, but that is better than everything being gray and bougie. What I appreciated about the Lighthouse Inn is that it is actually full of the original charm and history of Florence. I will definitely stay there again. And, I would rather give my $$ to local owners than a corporation or casino.

Bathroom lights kept blinking. No light in or near fridge. Lamp on dining room table didn’t work. Found used tissues by bed and at end of couch by wall. Carpet needed vacuuming in areas. Lights from cars shined through blinds on doors to balcony and window above fridge had outside light shine right onto head of bed making to hard to sleep. Refrigerator was extremely loud when it would start up about every 30 minutes or so all during night.

Loved size of Family Suite. Nice to have couch and dining room table and chairs. Breakfast is always. Plus and this was yummy. Location for us was perfect. Lots of space to move around . Loved the chips for snacks and the little kids playroom was awesome. The lobby area is beautiful and comfy. Staff were very friendly and kind.

The owners were very friendly. They allowed me to have an early check in and they were just very pleasant.

From what we could see the inn is run by a one man show. When we checked in we had to wait for someone to come to the front desk. He was nice enough. The place though quaint is in need of some upkeep and improvement!

The breakfast was unusual… buckwheat biscuits with gravy. It was okay.
