Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesSourpuss check in staff. Water took FOREVER to get hot in shower. Some rooms showed tubs, we had a shower, I feel like we got the runt of the litter due to booking through booking.com. Breakfast was disorganized, one server, took forever. The manage yelled at the waitress in front of guests, not a good look. He said, "we were just back here, you should have called us". Well, dear manager a good manager would be aware of what was happening. There was an issue with the waffles, we settled on a western omelette, it was good.
Location was good. Breakfast was good but disorganized. Bed was comfortable.

United StatesThe night before my departure, I requested a wakeup call at 7 am. The night attendant put in my request. However, the wakeup call phone call went off at 6 am instead of at 7 am as I requested!
The breakfast was lacking. I had the American breakfast. It didn't include a fruit or yogurt. I was only given one small container of jelly for my toast.

UkraineThe breakfast was terrible. Receptionist didn’t give me a voucher for the breakfast included to the cost of accommodation in the hotel when I checked in and I needed to go from the restaurant and ask another receptionist about this voucher.
the breakfast was terrible, the potato pancake tasted like old rancid sunflower oil that had been used many times, there were bits of soot on top from the frying pan. The sausages were burnt on the edges and the eggs were also overcooked and tasted like old rancid oil. It was the worst hotel breakfast I have ever had. The location of the hotel is very convenient.
