Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesNo silverware or plates in the rooms. I was given paper plates for. $300 plus a night room. Not okay. There was no ironing board and the staff didn’t believe me when I told them. I did get one promptly though.

United StatesOverall, it seemed tired. AC didn’t reach the bedroom, internet wasn’t reaching in my room, bathroom was tired. Every time I stepped on the balcony, there were a host of people staring down at me from the village over view.
The location is great, right on the lake and in the village. Staff were very friendly too.

United StatesWe had 2 rooms reserved but when we checked in 1 wasn’t ready. Got a message shortly after that said the 2nd room was ready but it had dirty sheets, towels, and dishes in the sink, and the cleaning staff had left for the day. The desk lady was apologetic and helpful and got us a room at another hotel 10 minutes away, and we got one room comped for one night, but it was still an inconvenience.
Great location, Great Lake view from patio.

United StatesThe pool was a disappointment: small, water was green and particulate. I was woke up in the middle of the night by the sound of the train whistle on the nearby tracks that border the lake (see photo of train going by later in the morning as well).
1)The deck next to the lake; 2) feeding crumbs to the ducks that swim up; 3) the great view of Lake Oswego; 4) adjacent shopping and restaurants; 5) adjacent park with outdoor pavilion and live music at the time of our visit on Sunday evening.

United StatesThe streaming services on the TV did not work and the WiFi was very weak.
The staff was wonderful - very helpful. The view is fantastic and the location near shopping and restaurants is very convenient. There is a great walking path nearby. The hotel is very basic and probably needs an upgrade but it met our needs and was pretty affordable.

United StatesWi-Fi was unusable and made cable TV the only option. Appliance for coffee was dated.
The location was amazing, and for the price I can't believe how lucky we were. 100% would go back.

United StatesThe bed was not very comfy, it was smaller than a queen. Too soft and a little lumpy. The property is a little old, but has had some renovation. It's fine.

United StatesSuper thin walls: children running around above us & we could hear everything our next-door neighbors were saying. Decent size room but a bit little "faded".
Great location, nice shops & restaurants right there, 15 min. or so drive to downtown Portland. We had a nice balcony but unfortunately the lake was drained when we were there. Nice little kitchenette with fridge, sink, toaster, microwave, coffeemaker & glasses but it seemed a little odd that there were no plates or silverware.

United StatesThe lake was being drained so we'll have to come back sometime, but the view is great and we took a little car tour around the area; fantastic homes;people were friendly, they had a luggage cart which helped esp since we're walking w/canes; tv service is excellent compared to most hotels including a much better remote; frig is great, we had leftovers from Olive Garden plus pop/Bloody Mary Mix/milk, etc, lots of room; great having a pull-out bed and separate room for spouse as we usually sleep separate due to my medical issues plus CPAP machines,etc....just a nice older place, central to so much; ate at La Provence, too.....excellent food and service! I forgot bath tub is great size(I didn't take one but nice to know for future); we usually play Scrabble but it was cold & rainy so next time we'll be able to play on the deck....thanks.

United StatesThe rooms are a little older and could use some sprucing up but everything is well-tended to and the staff is attentive and seem to be happy and want to make your stay pleasant.
So close to restaurants and shopping. Great areas for walking. And how can you beat being on a lake and watching a variety of wildlife? Even the train - which was probably 30 feet from our room - became a welcome event. Fun!
