We enjoyed staying at the historical Lake Lure Inn! So much history & even a little Hollywood glamour. Of course, it is recovering from the devastation from Hurricane Helene, so sadly, no spa or beach yet. The room & particularly the beds were comfortable. The food in the pub & Sunday brunch were terrific. The staff are all great, friendly, & most accommodating.

Historic and location and wanted to come back after Hurricane Helene Hotel was lovely the lake and flowering bridge rebuilding and it was nice to stay in this historic hotel- room was clean and comfortable.

This was a stop over on our way to Georgia. Didn’t have a lot of time to do much. Dirty dancing info was a pleasant surprise.

It’s a historic hotel and the rooms were rightly appointed and understandably small.

We were pleased to be able to book a last minute room at Lake Lure due to its proximity to Chimney Rock.

The onsite dining room has been closed since the hurricane. Food and drink are available at a very pleasant onsite tavern, but the sandwiches are way over priced. For the same, we got two very large dinners with plenty of left-overs from a restaurant within walking distance. [These negatives do not outweigh the any of the positives.]

We are repeat guests at LLI, celebrating many wedding anniversaries over the year. The Inn takes you back in time to a slower, more relaxed era. The well-decorated lobby has a large reading area amidst historic artifacts. Often, there is gentle classical music in the air. The room was very comfortable and had plenty of hot water and A/C. A mini-refrigerator was added for a very small cost. The Reception staff was very friendly and helpful. The front porch has several rocking chairs facing a lovely mountain and lake view. There is a clear, large swimming pool in the back yard that also offers shade from relaxed reading. We always enjoy suspending our hectic life pace at Lake Lure Inn, and we look forward to returnng again.

We liked the fact that even though it is stiff quite authentic, everything works and works well. We had no problems at all with the accommodations.

The breakfast was less than average. The coffee is awful. The room could use a refresh.

The location is beautiful. This building is over 100 years old yet clean, well kempt and comfortable. The bar and Megan are excellent. There was a band playing, that was nice. Restaurants within walking distance. Staff is helpful and courteous. We stayed in a king suite. It was well suited but the bathroom was very small.

Sadly, the storm has taken out the lake that was there, but the area is still in repair with hopes to thrive again. Helene sparred the Inn and The area and its people are still in need of prayers- western NC. Go enjoy the stillness to help the area. It’s still a beautiful place of peace and calm.

Lake Lure is absolutely a step back in time. It’s surrounded by natural beauty and ambiance.

Check in took ages, we were kept waiting for 25 mins for a table to eat, no excuse for it didn’t even get offered a drink during the wait totally forgot about us. Unprofessional delay.

Terrific old property going through some hard and strange times recovering from the horrible storm damage in the area. I’m sure when they are at full steam it’s a great place

We didn’t know when we booked the room that it wasn’t in the main building. But in the small motel-like building in the back. There is a desk in the room but no chair that goes with it.

The reception desk staff were friendly and welcoming. The bartender was very friendly and we enjoyed hanging out in the bar. We ate dinner in the bar and the steak and mussels were excellent! The water pressure in the shower was high, there’s a magnifying mirror in the bathroom and the bed was very comfortable; the location was perfect for the places we wanted to go to.

I didn't like the fact that there was no microwave in the room and they were going to give me an outside room which is not what I reserved. However, they did give me an inside room.

The breakfast was great. I was able to connect with some wonderful people. The location was right where everything was and easy to walk to. Great atmosphere and the staff was excellent, friendly, and helpful.
