I wish the newly remodeled room has a bath and there was a key to the back sliding door.

I liked the property a lot and the location was fantastic. Very close to Ithaca and to local hiking. The room was large and clean and a room that was remodeled. I wish it had a bath instead of a large shower.

The water flow in the shower is a bit weak.

The hotel is in the middle of nature, feels like a building from a fairy tale. The staff is pleasant and welcoming. If we had known about the area before, we would have stayed there for another night. Highly recommend

My only issue was that when I went to check out, no one was at the front desk. I tried calling it from a phone in the entry way, but the ringer was extremely low so no one heard it. I almost had to just leave a note with my room key to let them know I left, but then someone showed up right before I did that. I know we checked out much earlier than most people do because we had a long drive ahead of us so we needed an early start, so I just assume they weren't used to having people check out that early. I'm not bothered by it and I didn't let it affect my otherwise wonderful experience.

This hotel is a gem. I love its traditional style rather than a modern basic style like every other hotel. That gave it a more unique experience for me. The staff was wonderful, but I want to give extra kudos to the lady at the front desk that works the afternoon/evening shift. I loved her personality, and she was always helpful and nice. I also love the location of this place. It feels so remote, yet it's so close to downtown and to Buttermilk Falls State Park. Our room also had an amazing view, especially during sunset. The room was comfortable and the beds, especially the pillows, were amazing. The bathroom was the biggest hotel bathroom I've ever seen and it felt luxurious. Everything was clean and cozy. I wish I had time to stay longer so I could have had time to check out the spa. If I'm ever back in this area, I will be staying here again.

There are dressers in the room. I had no place to put my underwear and pajamas. They remained in the suitcase which was inconvenient. My other clothes hung in the closet. Unfortunately, my room was either and ice cube or no air at all. The air conditioner circuit breaker was reset and the room was a freezer. Also, the $7 continental breakfast was a good buy except the yogurt area was a big. Owl of yogurt and not individual containers. Or sneeze guard which makes this unsanitary. Also they were no tongs to grab bagels also not sanitary. Once these areas improve, I think it would be a great place to visit again. The bed was comfy and the area was quiet.

The air conditioner has noise when running.

Coffee, tea and hot water are provided at the lobby most of the time; the staff are friendly and hard working; the rooms are clean. Also, an outdoor evening live music is very nice and special.

Absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. It was a last minute booking and am so glad they had one night available. The room was absolutely stunning and the jet bath tub was divine. Loved that my partner and I were able to sit and read at the pond and were able to enjoy the sauna the next morning before we left. Highly recommend this hotel!
