How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The outside of the hotel needs to be renovated, and the breakfast area was incredibly cramped with limited seating. We also had mosquitoes in our room because of the water in the pool area. Given that it's a pet-friendly hotel, it would also be nice to have a little grass about for obvious reasons.
The facilities in the room were adequate. No complaints. The room was also as clean as one would expect. The great advantage of this hotel is its proximity to the San Antonio River Walk and its affordability compared to other hotels in the area. Furthermore, the pet policy is reasonable, and we were travelling with our corgi. The breakfast on offer was also adequate.

The breakfast area is quite small and gets VERY busy in the mornings - we had to queue about 25 minutes to get a waffle. I wouldn’t recommend doing the LaQuinta online check-in. As an international, I was charged double the price for my stay (plus deposit), which really wasn’t ideal and was a pain to wait for the refund. Despite this, staff were helpful in getting it sorted.
An older, more dated hotel in San Antonio, but still charming. Our room was simple but comfortable. The pool area was great and was definitely refreshing, as the week we stayed, it was incredibly hot. Staff were helpful with any queries we had. You are a 2 minute walk from Historic Market Square and a 15 minute walk from San Antonio’s beautiful Riverwalk. You’re also super close to a bus stop.

Major construction next door that was not announced during the booking. It also seemed like several construction workers were staying long term at this location. Work trucks, equipment, and safety equipment in vehicles.
Room location was fine. Several stairs shutdown for repairs. Major construction next to hotel started about 6am, so sleeping in was not an option.

We had a hatd time finding parking at night. We had to park far from our room.
Property was clean and so were the rooms. Staff was very nice and helpful.

Hallways and stairwells need power washing and railings could benefit from a good cleaning and fresh coat of paint.
Convenient. Trolley tour stop and market were right out front. Well stocked breakfast items. Clean rooms and everything worked.

I know is complementary but breakfast was so unorganized and kitchen staff was a little rude and frustraded cause all the people in the very , very small space for so many people , there was literally only 7 tables for all those rooms that you have , you can even walk in there !

Although the rooms themselves were maintained and clean, some of the sheets showed some old burns, likely from cigarettes. The outside of the hotel was under some renovation, I assume, because there was caution tape stretched across some sets of stairs which made getting to my room a bit inconvenient.
The rooms showed restoration and great lengths to be maintained and cleaned. The staff were beyond exceptional, especially the security guard. Nice dude. Couldn't find a better staff to keep a place like this running.

We had trouble with the key,didn't know that by making contact with phone,it would deactivate the key. Also ac in room is controlled, cannot change it,we were a bit hot,it felt somewhat muggy. I know construction has nothing to do with the hotel,but there's alot of closed streets around making it hard for someone who doesn't know the area.
The cleanliness of the pool. Tidy beds but a bit uncomfortable. Clean towels.
