Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe rooms were gross and did not feel clean at all. The furniture was so beat up and rusted. I paid almost $1,400 for two nights - that price does not meet the value whatsoever. The room next to us had a man snoring very loud. We had two noise machines going, but the snoring man kept my husband and I up all night. That shows you how thin the walls are. The staff was also not very accommodating or knowledgeable about anything really. I asked if they had live music out by the pool (I thought I had read that somewhere), and the gentleman working goes "I don't know. I haven't heard of anything like that before, but we had a wild animal show a few days ago." They actually had this wild animal show again while we were there, but they texted us 30 minutes before the show began and we were already out and about for the day. Why wouldn't something like this be on a board in the morning so you can plan your day accordingly? I asked the woman working at the bar (who was sitting on the floor staring at her phone both days we were there) if they had lobster rolls to order. She replied "I don't know. Let me look"....she goes to the computer and presses some buttons and then turns around and say "no, we don't". After speaking to another guest, we determined the resort seemed to be run by young kids who really have no idea what they are doing which obviously didn't make me feel great. Overall, I feel like I overpaid greatly.
The hotel is very cute from the outside. The pool area is great. There is shuffleboard, a ping pong table, and bags which was great. They had pool toys, goggles, and noodles for the kids. They had a coloring station and crafts for the kids. I appreciated all of these touches. The breakfast was nice, but the furniture was a bit gross. The seats were very torn up and stained. I felt icky sitting on them. I also appreciated that they gave vouchers out for kayaking. My son enjoyed doing that.

Loved that it was a little motel, didn't realize it was. Light and cozy at the same time, bed was great, amenities were awesome.

United StatesBreakfast, was not warm and inviting. It was cold and there was no hot coffee to be found. 8 out 10 guest all looking for hot coffee. When it was finally served it was not good. Simple fix.
Great Location, tucked away and peaceful but easy to get into town. Style of the hotel is fun and thoughtful.

United StatesOur room was great, but wish there was another bed (or bigger sofa bed) instead of the large kitchenette area.
Super family friendly, lots of activities for the kids the hotel is decorated really cute- like an upscale camp! Very pretty location! Being able to use the complementary bikes and ride into town and to the beach was a plus!

United StatesThe rooms were superficially clean, but the first room had a half empty shampoo bottle in the shower and some hair and the nooks and crannies needed a good cleaning. Plug in fans were so dusty I would not use them. The rooms just needed a deep, very good cleaning. Shower curtain had very noticeable mold or mildew spots on it. Didn't have a clean feel in the rooms, but they're beautiful, just need more than a light cleaning.
The location is not only beautiful and quiet, but it's so close to town. The staff was extremely nice front the women at the front desk to the men cleaning the rooms, so friendly, helpful and nice.

AustraliaThey had so many hidden fees that they say were not disclosed due to booking.com however we booked multiple places and did not have this issue. This place was essentially a motel room and the bill was over $500 for one night!!

United StatesUpon arrival there was black mold in the shower where the tile meets the tub and on the tile. The towels were ragged, the extra top cover that was up in the closet had a hole in it. The “black out” curtains are just fabric and don’t really work and there is no way to turn the porch light off from the room. The whole place seemed understaffed. Whenever we went into the Dory for a drink or snack, no one was lol available and had to be looked for. There were a lot of locals with swim passes which made finding a lounge chair (which there are few of) hard to get. The number to call in the brochure we were given was disconnected. We had kids Nextdoor in room 26 while their parents were in room 31. Kids should have to be Nextdoor to the parents.
The grounds were very pretty and well kept. The housekeeping staff were very friendly and accommodating. It was nice to have a snack bar.

United StatesIt was super cute and clean and I wanted to stay longer! Breakfast was yummy and the lodge was adorable. Sitting on the from deck was perfect for our morning. Our stay was too quick! We booked last minute on our drive up from CT and they drove over to make sure we had the keys ready when we got there.

United StatesOur room was very dirty. There were leaves and dirt all over the floor. The rug in our room needed to be thrown out. Very dirty and stained. The chairs in the room were also stained and we refused to use them. The walls were marked up from previous furniture. The girl working at the front desk was nice and offered to vacuum our room while we were gone but she only did one area and there was still dirt and leaves near the bathroom. The room was WAY over priced for what you get. It’s the complete lipstick on a pig. The place needs to be updated and they need to maintain maintenance a lot better for such an expensive place.
The location was nice and quiet, yet close enough to dock square. The outside is very unique and appealing until you get in the room and it’s dirty.
