Kauai shores hotel is a beautiful boutique hotel, nicely renovated, with access to the ocean and the Lava Lava club next to it. Good vibes, family friendly, never crowded. We loved our stay there!

Location was great for our needs, LAVA LAVE Beach Club provided perfect opportunity to unwind each evening, Front desk staff were super helpful in recommending activitieses and tour operators

Self parking was cramped but they did offer complementary valet if needed.

Staff was friendly! We loved borrowing the bikes to ride along the beachwalk. They had live music at night at the restaurant.

I can't think of anything that did not meet our vacation expectations.

The location was perfect as we spent each day at the beach. The hotel had an old Hawaii vibe, but our beachfront room was very modern. The Lava Lava Beach Club was a fabulous addition, with live music, great drinks and wonderful food. A three minute walk to the Coconut Marketplace for shopping and an outstanding deli food market was great.

only minor things could be improved: - If possible ask for a room on the 2nd floor because 1st floor's room are darker and less private - Pool towels are available at reception desk which is not very convenient - The ocean is rough in that place and not fit for snorkeling.

The hotel is very friendly. The staff is nice and very helpful and efficient. The 2 pools are great. The adjacent restaurant next to the beach has a wonderful view. There is a small mall with everything you need next to the hotel. The rooms are clean, parking is easy and free, bikes are available for free. There is a coin-operated laundry. This place is fantastic!

Parking was difficult - most self-park parking spots had cars which were over the parking lines / cars parked very close to the parking lines. We didn't feel comfortable parking in this area due to risk of damage to our rental car - we had to rely solely on the valet parking lot.

Location by the beach was great, and the hotel felt like a community with nice little touches like having an (optional) hotel room plant to look after during our stay, and the chickens roaming around the grounds. The on-location restaurant / bar (Lava Lava Beach Club) was also great.

Great location on the beach and near the bike trail and good restaurants. Loved the free beach cruiser rentals- and rode in both directions along the coast on the bike path. Next door is a great sheltered swim area for little ones.

Prices at Lava Lava. Visited restaurant once.

NIce pool and spa. Clean room and great view from balcony. Enjoyed beach access and lounge chairs on beach. Appreciate the option to use bikes which is included in price of staying.

Excellent location to explore the whole island by car. Also, it is located next to a market with plenty of cafes, restaurants, and a market to buy groceries from. There's a nearby gas station as well as a few nice cafes. It's also right on the beach. Parking is convenient, and they even offer complimentary valet parking. The hotel seems to have been recently renovated, and our room was ver nice and spacious enough.

later in the evening the parking spot gets pretty full but there is complimentary valet parking so it‘s not really a problem; after 3pm they start live music at the beach restaurant, but they don‘t turn off the pool music so you end up listening to two different songs at the same time which is rather annoying
