Kangaroo House is charming, the owners are so friendly and welcoming, and the breakfasts blew us away! Each day we were served multiple courses for breakfast, with fresh ingredients and such beautiful presentation. It was centrally located just a short drive from Eastsound village with plenty of parking.

The host family is super friendly and kind. The location is around 5 mins away from Eastsound town center. When I was checking in, the host showed me everything I want to know in detail. I like the provided tea and coffee. I especially like the common reading area, as I'm a night reading person. The host also provided gorgeous breakfast. That's for 6+ people on that morning. It includes fruits, scones and a main course.

Kangaroo House is a gem of a Craftsman Bungalow, with lovely decor and a spectacular front porch, all surrounded by a nice garden. The breakfasts were gourmet, creative, delicious, and beautifully presented - high-end restaurant quality all the way. Location is convenient to the charming town of Eastbound, and Moran Park - a natural paradise. And it is an easy, pleasant drive to the Ferry Terminal. The best aspect of our stay was the hosts - Jill and Charles are special people....warm, kind, bright, and great conversationalists. This was our best B&B experience ever

It would have been helpful to have a small welcome folder in the room that gives info on breakfast times, the fridge available for guests, internet password, etc. since the hosts were not there when we arrived.

The house is lovely and historic. The grounds are lovely. And Jill and Charles went all out. They served breakfasts created with much attention to detail. Delicious food, lovely dishes, cloth napkins, lovely breakfast room and other guests to socialize with.

John and I were warmly greeted by Jill and Charles. Our room was very inviting and our bed was so comfortable. The breakfast we were served was just delightful! We were able to easily get around the island from Kangaroo House. When we left for an early ferry back to the mainland Jill and Charles kindly packed us a nutritious to go bag since we would sadly miss our last breakfast there. I would gladly recommend Kangaroo House to my friends!

Kangaroo House is located about a mile from downtown East Sound. It’s a short walk from many great shops and restaurants and about a 20 minute drive from anywhere on the Island. Jill and Charles are fabulous hosts and their home is charming. They are very hospitable and their daily breakfasts are incredible. We stayed in the Goldfinch room and the bed was quite comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. Orcas island is a special place and this B&B made our trip even more magical.

The breakfast was delicious and cooked to perfection, seasoned with herbs from the garden. The hosts joined us for engaging conversations each morning and were gracious, informed, and friendly. The breakfast was excellent. The hot tub was the right temperature and private, so it was a great experience. The breakfast conversations with the owners were enlightening, and it's cool that they speak and connect with their guests and give great island recommendations. The reading room is wonderful, with great records to listen to.

We have stayed in many B&B's, but the Kangaroo House is a cut above. We received a call when our room was ready and were met at the door with true hospitality that continued through every detail. The decor was a celebration of the history and architecture of the home. The seating in the lounge areas provided for guests to have their own space or to mingle with other guests. There were plenty of towel bars and luggage stands which is a detail that goes a long way. The breakfast was better than most restaurants and the owners were thoughtful to our gluten free needs and allergies. The coffee was from a local roaster and local pottery was used tastefully on each table. The library was perfect for a getaway space to journal and explore the books. But the highlight was when the owners, having served us, sat down to chat over coffee. Charles and Jill filled us in on the history of the space and let us into their circle of friends. Suddenly a room full of strangers felt like good friends with inside jokes.
