My first time to Julian enjoyed the host her hospitality was above and beyond more than I expected

We got lucky - parking is all street parking, but we got extremely lucky, especially for a holiday weekend. We found a great spot around less than half a block away.

Breakfast was excellent - totally worth the stay for just this alone.

The Julian gold rush hotel the staff and owners were very nice and friendly we were there for 2nd anniversary and we were very impressed with not just the hotel but staff and owners and the food was amazing. I’m not much of a breakfast guy no need to add anything seasoning on your breakfast it’s was a perfect balance breakfast

What a lovely way to spend our 20 year wedding anniversary. Beautiful lodging, comfortable and with a delicious homemade breakfast in their comfortable parlour in the mornings. Staff was fantastic! So accomodating and friendly, and the location in Julian is perfect! This was a wonderful 2 day stay in the beautiful Julian Gold Rush hotel! Thanks for making it a truly memorable event for my wife and I!

Rooms are very small. Queen bed but one side is against wall so makes it hard for 2 people to get in and out of bed easily.

Excellent location center of town. B&B feel in lounge. Great quality breakfast not typical hotel breakfast. Very quaint. Love the historical feel.

Only complaint, which was so minuscule, was that the AC machine in our room was quite loud and whenever it switched on or off at night it woke us up. But we would take that over sleeping without AC any day

Wonderful location, beautifully decorated- felt like stepping back in time 100+ years. Staff was wonderfully accommodating- our request for early check in was granted as we needed to get ready for a wedding. We had to leave before breakfast was served sadly, but will definitely be back!

Everything was great!

Absolutely loved this beautiful historical quaint hotel.Eveyone was so friendly and helpful.Our room was decorated so cozy and the bed was very comfortable. No TV but they do have wifi.Our stay was so pleasant we never missed it!They have available many different games to play.The outside garden was a great place to just escape and relax.They serve a delicious breakfast every morning ,included w your stay.They accommodate people w allergies or other dietary issues.They also have iced or hot tea, lemonade and coffee and in the evening.Very clean and safe place to stay.We will be back!

The breakfast was really good (home made eggs Florentine, fruit, granola, yogurt, juice) but it was served without asking and I feel bad not being able to eat it all and/or requesting it all. I‘d think it would be a great idea to either offer all options on a small a la carte menu or at least ask guests what and how much they want to avoid wasting food/beverages. We stayed in room 3 a cute and quiet corner room on an upper floor as requested, but there was not much space in the room to move around. Showerhead was outdated/not adjustable and needed quiet long to warm up

Centrally located, historic property, nice patio to enjoy, plenty of games and books, easy check-in process and parking, comfy queen bed and mattress

I've stayed at the Julian Gold Rush many times over the past 45 years. It's the only place I would stay while l visiting Julian.

Street parking only, there is no separate lot. And the breakfast servers evidently don't know what 'Vegan' means.

A nice historical property in the heart of Julian, walking distance to everything. Rooms in the main building plus separate cottages, great for solo travelers.

My husband and I loved this place - full of old charm and an amazing value for the experience. Hot three course breakfast was beyond our expectations for sure. The hotel has a wonderful history, and is located right in the center of Julian, close to every restaurant or coffee shop. Hotel hostess was very cordial and helpful, and overall, we thought it was superb. We will be sure to return to see the lilacs in bloom.
