Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States…🤔🤷🏻♀️…Nothing! We loved it all!
It was cute, and the desert chic decor was very warm and welcoming. Even with strong winds during our stay, it held up well, and was air-tight and cozy inside. Pretty much any utensil or pan you could think of was here. The manager, Sara, was very helpful in directing us how to get the key. This was our first time in an air bnb, and it won’t be our last.

United StatesMy apologies to Sarah, our fantastic host, as it has taken me this long to write this review. Me and my husband wanted something to do for our milestone anniversary, but we only have a limited time; we booked the JT Cottage so we can visit the Joshua Tree National Park. Boy, I fell in love with the place the moment I set foot inside the quaint and pretty cottage. From the outside, the cottage seemed small, but surprisingly roomy when you get inside. The kitchen with stainless appliances was fully stocked with ice, purified water, condiments and all the cooking and eating utensils you will ever need. The rooms and bathroom were immaculately clean and the beds are so comfy, you just want to sleep in. It even has a patio and a spacious backyard. There’s an eating area in the patio with a barbecue grill and a hot tub. The water in the hot tub was at a perfect temperature should we decided to soak and bask under the stars the night we checked in. I used to be an Airbnb and booking.com host before and I know what great lengths Sarah went through to prep this cottage and it did not disappoint us. The only thing that disappointed us was : we had to leave after our 3-day booking ! Thank you Sarah 🥰

United StatesFuton mattress had seam down the middle. Would have been better to have privacy curtain or screen for around the futon “room”. But definitely not a show stopper as is.
Nicely decorated. Newly renovated. Quaint and comfortable. Nice outdoor area. Cast iron cookware and wooden utensils was nice. Hot tub a bonus.

United StatesI have no negative comments for this location. It’s exactly what it was advertised to be and more.
This small cottage felt absolutely homey. It was comfortable, inviting and beautiful decorated. The bed and futon were very comfortable. Loved the use of a hot tub. This place had everything I could have asked for and so much more. I’ve honestly never had a stay away from home feel this inviting! I was actually upset to have to leave. Thanks for providing such a wonderful home away from home.

United StatesNothing- thought it was great.
Very cute, very nicely organized place. It is a beautiful location-- up on a hill with a view towards the mountains and town. It was plenty of room for my family of three with how well organized the space is. Super kitchen- with everything you need for making a meal. And the hot tub with a view of the stars? Awesome. I loved everything about this place and very close to the west entrance of Joshua Tree. GREAT location to stay at and highly recommend.

United StatesThe pots and pans all had damaged non-stick coating so they were unusable, but I told our host and she brought me a cast-iron skillet right away.
So cozy! Loved the entryway/sun room with the table. We didn’t use the tv room but the extra space was good to have. We walked from the property to a hiking trail.

Everything about staying in this beautiful little cottage was exceptional. The host was very willing to answer questions and help us when needed. Winter is a great time to visit this area. There are interesting and unique things to do and wonderful restaurants although we cooked most of our meals in the cottage.

United StatesWe chose this location due to its proximity to Joshua Tree National Park! It was only about a 10 minute drive to the closest entrance and it made going there a whole lot easier considering you have to drive a lot already inside the park. The location was really nice and secluded even though there were other homes around as well. The house is also nearby a good amount of restaurants and grocery stores as well so it was super convenient! I also loved that the kitchen had plenty of amenities for cooking meals at home and it felt like you were in your own kitchen :) You can also see a lot of wildlife around the house as well like rabbits and quail! At night, if the moon isn's shining too bright, it is he perfect place to see the stars!! The jacuzzi was a great addition as well! I would for sure recommend this to others looking for a relaxing desert getaway :)
