The property was real clean and adorable. Loved the room with the wood on the ceiling above the bed. Added a uniqueness to the room. They thought of everything .

Out bed was not level....footboard higher than headboard... decline was noticeable but we stilled slept thru the night.

Attractive accommodations, great location, breakfast options in the morning. I left behind my laptop charger, and got a notification text right away. I picked it up a week later on my return drive. I really appreciated the staff being so conscientious.

For me, it was perfect. If you are expecting romance and al fresco happy hour, there are plenty of options in Santa Barbara that are more tucked away. But I come to Summerland for the shopping.

Convenient walking distance to upscale shopping. Beautiful sea vistas. Lovely garden plantings around rooms.

The bathtub/shower was a jacuzzi tub so it was deep and hard to get in and out of. It would have helped a lot if there was a bar to hang on to. We also didn’t realize that the property would be SO CLOSE to the freeway.

Beautiful property and just far enough away from downtown, but still a quick walk. Two levels of parking which worked out great for us. Continental breakfast was good and someone actually made us eggs and bacon! Welcome surprise. Lots of restaurants and gift shops

I found it a bit pricey, considering that many of the finishes in my room were in need of maintenance.

I loved my stay at the Inn on Summer Hill. The staff was amazing! And you cannot beat the location! It was perfect for my needs, as I was at a conference at Pacifica Graduate Institute. It is also in walking distance of restaurants and shops.

It was darling! The breakfast was good! We loved the location and the beach below was empty! The town is quaint! The happy hour and cookies were a plus!

Some things needed updating. Outside table was really worn from the sun. Maybe have glass top instead of wood. The bathroom facet had EXTREMELY hot water from the faucet. Should be warned. The sink was too small, LOTS of water splashes everywhere when in use. Some of the decor could use some updates. Staff should also give some highlights regarding the area and local beaches and restaurants. That would be helpful.

Liked the place and the location. Very quaint. Love the plants all around and the front desk area is lovely and inviting.

We went down to get breakfast and they had packed everything up 5-10 minutes earlier than was advertised.

Although the highway is in between the hotel and the ocean, the view of the ocean is incredible and makes for a really wonderful stay at the inn. The room is very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay.

The property is faces a major freeway, a side road, and the local train tracks. If noise bothers you, this is NOT the place! The balcony looking out at the ocean was nice…but between the 18 wheelers, motorcycles, trains, and road noice, having tea or coffee on the balcony was not enjoyable because it was so loud! The traffic and train noise also meant the windows/doors needed to be closed despite the nice weather,, which was disappointing.

The room, the staff and proximity to Santa Barbara, Ojai, and wine country is great.

Instahot was not labeled and I burned my hand. No one told us we HAD to ask for our room to be cleaned.

Breakfast was fine, nothing special, requests were generally honored and there was more than enough. Chef was friendly. The location was fine, other than a bit too close to the road and hiway.

I had a patio but could not use it because the doors did not open. the spa bath sides were too high. It was hard hard to negotiate getting in and out of tub. there should have been a bar on the wall for safety. The noise from the traffic was constant.
