Although the location was great, there were no balconies, which was disappointing but I knew that beforehand. I had hoped for a view of the water and Ore Docks versus a view of the parking lot. It appeared there were rooms available but they were unwilling to switch up the rooms because I had booked through booking.com. In addition, I was disappointed with the breakfast, I expected better for the price of the room. It wasn’t much different than what I have been served by hotels at half the price

The best part about this hotel is the location. The breakfast area has a direct view of Lake Superior. We prolonged our breakfasts to enjoy the view and relaxed in the afternoon on the outdoor patio with the same view. The beds were comfortable.

This was our first trip to Marquette, and staying at the Hampton Inn truly made it a memorable one. We spent six nights here, and the spacious room made it perfect for our family—never once did we feel cramped. The cleanliness was top-notch, and the staff’s upkeep every two days added a great touch of comfort and care. We were lucky to have a lakeside view, and waking up to the sunrise through the Lower Harbor Ore Dock each morning was absolutely breathtaking. The location couldn’t have been better—close to downtown, near all our planned excursions, and just minutes from larger supermarkets for any snacks or forgotten essentials. What really stood out was the staff. From check-in to check-out, every single person we interacted with was incredibly friendly and welcoming. It made a big difference and added a personal touch to our stay. We also made great use of the 24-hour fitness center, pool, and hot tub—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Without a doubt, this will be our go-to place whenever we return to the U.P. Highly recommended!

The breakfast was amazing! Each day the offerings changed regarding the eggs and hot choices. It was fantastic and all the staff at breakfast were so nice! Emily did a fantastic job and would come back to this hotel any time we travel to Marquette!

Hampton Inn's have never disappointed us. This is another beautiful, well maintained establishment. The lake view was spectacular, the free breakfast was excellent, and the location couldn't have been better. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the area and made our stay that much better.

Fabulous hotel. All the staff were lovely with a warm welcome and friendly assistance from reception throughout our stay. Our room had a gorgeous lake view, spacious, super clean and beds were really comfortable. The buffet breakfast was good and the lady looking after it helped show me how to make waffles. Breakfast was served in a lovely room with great lake views and a terrace outside. Great location. Great stay.

Excellent hotel in every way. Very clean and comfortable. Soft sheets and wonderful pillows. Every one was kind and helpful. Our room overlooked the water. We opened the window and went to sleep listening to the waves. Simply lovely.
