This place should be condemned; upon arrival we were met with homeless people in the parking lot. When we entered the lobby area, no one was at the front desk, we were met with a walkie talkie that said, "use to call front desk". We called and 12 mins later a young man showed up. We checked in and he charged us 17$ for parking, I got the room for 101$, total was 118$. We got to the room, and it was bad, the curtains were torn, the rafters were hanging, the door to balcony was bolted and the worst part was the smoke smell from cigarettes. The bed was barely made and made a squeak sound This was the first time ever, that I walked in and looked around and walked right back out. We left immediately! Donate the building to a non-profit to shelter the homeless that live downstairs.

Nothing this place is the worst not only did they charge me for my service dog the place was gross, the was a homicide stain on the floor that my dog wouldn’t even smell, the tv had no sound and it was next door to the train railway, you have to pay for parking and pet so my amazing room was 59 dollars more than the room cost, crachead were abound and pit bulls with druggie owners were abound, dint trust the pictures, the staff was rude and even though I have a service dog certificate I still got charged 25.99 even though the booking website says 15.00. I’ve been a booking member for a long time and never except once wrote a negative review but be warned

    Nothing

It was close to the convention center

The rooms on the tram side are very loud all night. I was offered to "upgrade" for $30 per night to a room on the other side. The rooms are dated with popcorn ceilings and uncomfortable spring mattresses. The proximity to the convention center is great for the price, however knowing what I know now I would have booked something more expensive a bit further away from the noise to get a better night sleep.

The location was great. Beds comfortable. Felt safe. Elevators to bring you to upper floors

A bit dated. The lobby needs some help in making it more welcome. The train can be loud

The guy on the front reception is really great , he seems very matured ,polite .services are good , rooms are great , comfortable . whenever we go to the Portland we always choose to stay at this place

The carpets have become dirty with time , I suggest them to change or replace the carpets . Some rooms have cigarette smoke smell

It was by a very crowded street. The carpet was so dirty Moreover, when we get there they asked for $17 parking fee and they said it was mentioned on the app. It was very hidden in policy section. It felt like fraud because they mentioned there is a parking available but then they asked for fee. Why don’t you mention it somewhere that people can see when booking the room? If I knew that, I wouldn’t book this room and would definitely spent this money for another hotel with breakfast, which was available.

    Property response:

I am sorry to hear that our parking fee was not clear to you online, I will pass this on to my managers. Being in the heart of the events district, if we did not charge for parking or validate it, we would run out of parking frequently (whenever there is a concert at the MODA center.) Our parking fee also pays for overnight security for our lot which I would say is definitely worthwhile.

The air conditioner worked well. The television worked well, though you may want to consider getting television remotes that can access the "sleep" function of the television set. The mini-fridge worked adequately enough to keep our sodas cool, though not cold. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. When I fell, the one gentleman helped me back to my feet and made certain I was okay. He seemed genuinely concerned for my well-being, not that fake syrupy "please don't sue us" concern you would typically get from most people in his position.

There is absolutely nothing shielding one from outside noise. The single pane glass windows, which seem to barely be holding in place, allow virtually all noise from outside to penetrate. I was awakened multiple times throughout the night by people walking by yelling, sirens, a semi-truck running over a guy on a scooter and tweakers having loud conversations with their imaginary friends. (I am not joking about the semi-truck.) The beds are not very comfortable, however, I acknowledge that this is a purely subjective statement. No two people are going to enjoy the same bed the same way. The bathroom was extremely small and difficult to maneuver in. The fan in the toilet/shower room did not work. The sink appeared to be brand new, which was strange given how everything else in the room seemed to be old and worn. Watch out for the threshold of the hotel lobby door as you exit. It is raised just enough to catch your toe if you don't lift your feet high enough. I did this and ended up falling and breaking one toe in the process. Not that big of a deal, other than the couple weeks of healing I am going to need for that toe and the sore muscles from the fall. Parking is extremely limited and very tight. Expect to conduct ten point turns to maneuver your vehicle out of its parking space.
