How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewI was underwhelmed by inn at nye beach. The location was good - right overlooking the beach but everything else was pretty mediocre for the price point. The hot tub was often packed, towels weren’t always stocked, the front desk staff who checked us in wasn’t very friendly, welcoming, or helpful. They didn’t seem happy to be there. Breakfast was nice in that it was delivered but the free options were slim and the French toast was similar to sandwich bread. They talk about “from scratch” cookies and breakfast but that was not what we experienced. Our dining area wasn’t that clean when we arrived, furniture was dated. I was disappointed overall.

Verified reviewMy partner and I really enjoyed the location & amenities. The view is stunning, easy walking access to the beach, shops & restaurants. We really enjoyed the fire pits & spa tub.
The parking lot was very tight however not an issue. The outdoor space looked much bigger in photos so that was a surprise.

I believe her name is Amanda, at the front desk. She was rude. Also, our TV wouldn’t work the 1st night and she was not at all helpful. While we didn’t go on vacation to watch TV, we were exhausted from driving all day and just wanted to chill and watch TV. She told us to unplug and replug and we continued to have the problem. She said it is a common problem. For those prices, they should work this out.
We do apologize you had any sort of bad experience during your stay with us. Unfortunately our Guest service representative are not trained in any issues when it comes to the televisions not working correctly. Thank you for pointing this issue out as we strive to always up our standards. Hopefully we have another opportunity to provide better service to you in the future.

There wasn’t much information shared about the property upon arrival. It would be nice to have a binder with information about the hotel and amenities in the room.

Verified reviewWe loved the view of the beach and the deck up top to see the ocean. The room was facing the ocean so I woke up and laid in bed and watched the ocean We had access to the beach which was awesome the house had about every thing you needed
The houses don’t come with the breakfast but the front deck did give me 10$ voucher to help pay for breakfast it’s something to do with booking.com settings. And there was a few areas that was a little dirty but it wasn’t a big problem maybe just some spring cleaning needed.

Our room did not appear to be cleaned, thoroughly on our second day. Sticky stuff from the night before on the table. A long hair on the coffee table. It made us question what else was missed.

Verified reviewThis was one of the nicest hotels we have been to in a long time! The view was amazing, the bed was incredibly comfortable, breakfast was delicious and served right to your door, and the location felt homey! With the exception of parking and a breakfast mishap we had a spectacular time!
The parking was limited so we ended up parking on the street which wasn't generally an issue and we felt safe doing it, but for the price I wish we would have had garunteed parking. There was a miscommunication about how breakfast was run and we got our breakfast an hour later than expected.

Verified reviewLoved the location, beach access, infinity pool, room service, and cafe on site.
Whether you park down below in the parking lot or on the street, it’s not easy to unload/load from your vehicle to your room. There is an elevator but it’s not easy to get to, you have to use your key card and so if you have lots of bags etc, it’s several trips back and forth, up/down, out/in, etc. They have a luggage cart but it’s a V shape and really only will work with suitcases or large bags. The infinity pool is amazing but small and it was always busy, so we did t ever use it.
