We loved the location of the hotel in old downtown Lynden, we were able to grab dinner right downstairs at Avenue Bread and a treat for later at Lynden Dutch Bakery across the street. The staff were fantastic and welcoming, the room was beautiful and clean, and the bed sheets were to die for! We will absolutely visit again some time.

The Inn at Lynden is in the heart of this little town. They did a wonderful job at conserving the characteristics of this historical building. We really liked the feel of the place from the original hardwood floors and high ceilings to the beautiful lobby. The building conveniently houses four shops - a dining place serving comfort food, a bookstore with lots of great books to browse, a pub serving locally brewed beer, and a boutique - where each family member can find something they like. We enjoyed our early breakfast at Avenue Bread, and the book store was my daughter’s favorite spot. Our room was clean, neat, and well designed. The bathroom was roomy and welcoming. The friendly and helpful staff of the Inn at Lynden made our experience even more pleasant. Thank you. We will surely return to this wonderful place.

The only real negative is the somewhat silly surcharge of $10 per person per night. Clearly the purpose of this is to show a lower room rate online, then when you make the reservation you find ‘the fine print’ that had us pay an extra $60 fee just to stay for three nights in our room. Parking is a bit tricky as you’d expect from an urban location but there are some city-owned lots not too far away where it’s relatively easy to walk to the hotel.

Great location in the downtown area. Very helpful staff. Loved having breakfast at the cafe just below as well as the bookstore.

This isn’t a complaint, just a suggestion — it would have been nice to have a small shelf or cabinet in the shower area to place clothes or personal items. Other than that, everything was absolutely perfect.

I loved the beautiful design — it blended perfectly with the gorgeous building the hotel is in.** The staff went above and beyond! We were warmly welcomed at the front desk by two lovely, smiling representatives who gave us all the information we needed about the hotel and the area. They were patient and even walked us to our rooms. Thank you for the sweet gift left in honor of the occasion we were celebrating. The café downstairs was an absolute dream for breakfast — the coffee and every dish we tried were wonderful.

Very charming and modern inn. Queen room was lovely with tasteful decor and thoughtful touches, such as complementary snack basket. I was traveling solo for a yoga training and felt very safe and cozy at the inn. Kind staff.
