Ingleside is such a graceful old property — with pretty gardens, an elegant pool, and simple and lovely rooms. We found it really calming. The property is well maintained. The room and the linens were immaculate. There were fat jars of Aesop products in the bathroom. The bed was very comfy. The room came with a mini fridge, robes, slippers, mini bar, steamer, iron, hair dryer etc. The staff were friendly, professional and natural. We found our stay genuinely relaxing and we’ll be back! (Oh and the access to the other hotel was a real boon— there were three other pools there, a nicely air conditioned gym equipped with pelotons, rowing machines, free weights and a couple of weight machines)

It is an older historic property so don’t expect prestige conditions.

Beautiful old school property. Second visit and will return. Comfortable bed, private bungalows and pool area is beautifully set along the mountainside

Only, that there could have been more information in regard to what the property has to offer the guests etc.

My sister and I flew over from Australia for my 50th birthday, my husband sent us over for the Cindy Lauper concert. I chose Ingleside Estate due to its rich history, character and charm. I had a drive through to check out the property with friends last year, whom have spent plenty of time at Malvern’s over the years and highly rate the property and also Malvern’s. We had one elder gentleman that was super helpful, friendly and happy to share all of his stories and the properties stories. However, the only downfall of the whole stay was there wasn’t enough information upon check in, in relation to the property and what it had to offer its guests. Like coffee in the mornings etc I will however stay at the property again, we loved Malvern’s, we frequented each night and felt very welcome and loved by all staff members x

I had dined at Melvyn’s restaurant on the property numerous times but never actually stayed at the Ingleside Estate until now. (Have stayed at the Ace, Horizon, Riviera and more in the past). What a great decision. The room was gorgeous and the pool area with the mountain backdrop is breathtaking. A free coffee station to get you going in the morning. Walking distance to the centre of town. Easy free parking for guests. It shares facilities with the Avalon (about 30 yards up the road) which is an added bonus (their Chi Chi restaurant has a great casual menu). Make sure you go to the Sunday afternoon jam sessions at Melvyn’s for fantastic entertainment.

I like the fact that it is adults only and I like the nostalgia. I also liked having a restaurant and full bar on premises. I also liked having the ability to order a cocktail at the pool.

Beds/mattresses weren't quite up to par with the facilities and price point. Pool service on 7/4 at the Ingleside pool was slow and the server was definitely not in a great mood.

Excellent location, effective air conditioning in the rooms, craft coffee available in the mornings, pool facilities, access to Avalon amenities, friendly lobby staff, sunscreen available at the pools, early check in since our room was available. Pool service at the Avalon from Eloy.

Another light source was missing from the room, it was quite dark but this is only a minor detail. We had dinner at Melvyn's which was excellent as were the martinis in the Casablanca lounge but the 'Mel's breakfast' was disappointing and poor value as it was bereft of a number of key items so we dined next door at the sister holtel, Avalon, and it was a great breakfast.

Very friendly and accomodating staff. The place was spotless. Tea and coffee provided in the morning as well as water provided during all hours was a nice touch.

    beautiful historic property, rustic vibes
    • Leisure trip
    • Couple
    • Deluxe Queen Room
    • Stayed 2 nights

the property is historic but the rooms are just old and not in good shape, not super maintained. considering this, the prices are WAY too high. the front desk staff on arrival was very unfriendly, no help with guiding you in the dark to the parking area or helping you find your room, and no help with luggage either (up several stairs).

beautiful property, very quiet rooms and nice secluded and enjoyable pool area. on-site restaurant was wonderful. bathrooms are nice with great aesop products.

Melvyn's Restauarnt. We were told that we would still be served by the time we arrived. After the bar tender kept ignoring us and preferred talking to other guests, he told us we were too late by the time was done talking and no food would be served anymore. He & the receptionist at Melvyn's were quite unfriendly too.

Nice room (although it was a bit dark) w/ small patio. We also liked the pool & the estate in general.
