The bathroom in the 4th floor wasn’t clean. We had to use the one in the 3rd floor

Location was excellent, the staff was very nice. If you need a place to stay near everything is perfect.

I was there for 10 days and even though the room was clean when we get there, I think the rooms could be cleaned during the stay, for they get really dusty cause the windows are not properly sealed and dust takes over the room. Also, we only got a sheet and a very thin blanket. It would have been nice to have a proper comfortable duvet

The facilities are really well maintained and secure. The location couldn’t be better.

Awful when you have luggage and you're staying at higher floors since stairs were narrow and steep. Bathroom can be better, it's actually neat but there's a guest who left his underpants under the sink and it was there for a couple days.

Good location, it's walkable distance to Chelsea Market and Times Square area. Train stations are also accessible. I liked that it's not too far from NJ transit so it's easy to travel back to airports. The pantry availability was also helpful.

No reception. You can’t contact anyone for help when needed. I couldn’t connect to their Wi-Fi even though name and password pasted behind room door. The bed size is not equal to the regular measurements. Eg: the double bed, single bed sizes you know.

Room secured. Space was neat. From room, bathroom and shared kitchen. Iron, hair dryer and umbrella were all available to use.

-didn’t respond to my 3 messages on Booking message platform. I simply wanted to confirm there is an iron and I could have a second blanket in my room. -didn’t pick up my call when I had problems with the door code -asked for a second towel. Never got it. -bathrooms don’t have any floor mats so they are soaking wet from the previous person. Gross.

The staff are very difficult to get into contact with. They will never ever answer the phone or an email, a fact we just had to accept. But don't let this discourage you from staying here, we where able to make it work and the accommodations where worth it. A couple cons stood out to us- the door code was randomly changed one day without notice and we couldn't get in. Eventually we where able to find out the new code. The bathrooms vary in quality between the floors, but all are clean regardless. The staff are stingy with linens, the blanket provided is not big enough for tall people (6ft) and not big enough for two people. Only one towel per person, which we worked around but it wasn't enough for a longer stay. Lastly, the dish washer didn't work.

Our bedroom was very comfortable and relaxing, would recommend getting room with AC unit if traveling during the summer. Everything was very clean, and each floor had a kitchen and bathroom. Other guests where friendly and respectful. We felt safe at the location and it was overall cozy. No bedbugs!! Major pro.

It is hard to get into contact with the place as there is not front desk. Do everything you can to check in during normal business hours as getting a hold of any one who works there after that is impossible especially at night. Great place to stay highly recommend staying on the 5th floor - you have the least smoke up there.

The location can not be bette and the facilities are very clean. The cleaning crew is very thorough and cleans often.

On my first night here, I got locked in the communal bathroom because the door knob on the inside was missing. I had to wait in there until I got someone walking by to let me out. The faucet for the shower on the 4th floor was also broken and the light kept turning off in there. Didn’t have that problem with the bathroom on the 3rd floor.

The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. It was also in a really good location.

I was in 4D, a room at the top of the stairs to the fourth floor. If I stepped a few inches to the right after leaving my room, I may fall down a flight of stairs. The stairs have several curved steps to the top of the stairs to the third and fourth and fifth floors. These present challenges to footing. Carrying my luggage up and down three flights was challenging. The window in 4D led to a platform to a fire escape. There were mechanisms to open the window to escape. The screen for the window had fallen to the floor of the outside platform. I fear being stuck in the room if there is a fire or other emergency. The light at the mirror in the bathroom on the fourth floor was dark. Only the shower light worked. Persons with mobility issues may be unable to access the room, the bathroom, and the kitchen.

The facility is adjacent to the Fashion Institute of Technology. It was convenient for my working in Kips Bay. The bed was comfortable. I slept well. The codes to enter the building and the room worked well.

Room was way too small, literally claustrophobic. It contained everything that was needed, but there was no space to move. Its okay if you are just going to sleep there and spend 99% of time outside. Weird smell everywhere - weed? Bathroom was dirty - you will find black dots in shower. Check-in was weird. You just sit in kitchen and have talk few minutes. It was weird for me, i am introvert and my english is not so fluent - its not my first language. They also wanted my credit card info (even with CV!) during check-in Wifi almost never worked. Signal in my room was terrible, my phone kept losing signal. I couldn't even contact my family. I always had to go outside, there was public wifi and signal to use. Mattress was probably very old - lot of inequality, it wasn't very comfortable. Too soft for me. Nobody cleaned my room for whole 7 days. Its noisy here - you will listen other hosts and even street. Take earplugs if you want to sleep.

Lot of bathrooms - you will probably find unoccupied Doors are pincoded - both rooms and main doors so you will feel safe Subway is near Private room - its advantage when we consider this is hostel, not hotel. The bed was literally a cheap 2 inch Amazon mattress on top of an also super cheap, practically wire frame. I worried it'd break of I sneezed in the night. I'd have given this place top reviews all around as a nice hostel but the bed was genuinely THAT BAD.
