Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesParking is very expensive. I parked on the street instead. Check-in was confusing as the person made several mistakes while checking us in. Terrible coffeemaker in the room.
A comfortable place, good breakfast though runs out fast and gets crowded in the morning, good location in Beaverton, and there is a food truck court nearby.

United StatesIf you have a car you will either pay $35/day for valet parking, or $15/day at nearby garage, OR deal with 2hr time limit (M-F 7am-6pm) free street parking. Street parking is ample and no limit overnight and weekends, so if you’re using your car in the daytime, this might not be too much of a pain.
Clean, comfortable, friendly staff, excellent breakfast, easy walking distance to The Reser, food cart pod, and many bars, restaurants, and MAX train (to Portland/Hillsboro).

The breakfast was good, could have been a bit warmer. Room was clean, very basic. Very comfortable bed.

United StatesThe outside street lights were so bright that the room was lit-up all night. The so-called blackout shades did nothing at all. That room (202) probably needs curtains.

United StatesThat I didn't have access to a secure parking station associated with the building, and that the parking lots in the surrouding area were so expensive. I prefer to be able to park inside the property and to not think about how costly or unsafe parking is.
How quiet the building was. The staff at every level was friendly and professional. The room was quite comfortable.

AustraliaWe loved the one night we stayed and attempted to extend our stay for another 2nights. The day staff weren't interested in helping us extend, instead told me to try with Booking.com. when I was having trouble with the website (my Australian eSim was causing issues) the reception lady would not let us book direct with the hotel and made it all quite difficult. So we left and stayed elsewhere which was really disappointing.
The night staff (DJ? And Paul) were excellent, extremely accommodating and helpful, Facilities were great; clean & fresh.

Beautiful facility. Very clean and quiet. Staff very helpful. Valet parking people very good.

Japan- The blankets, especially for the sofa bed, could have been thicker and warmer, like a comforter or duvet
- Location was fantastic -- short walk to the food truck cartel, downtown Beaverton, and train station to allow for easy access to downtown, Hillsboro, and other parts of greater Portland - The downstairs lobby was a good area to hang out in, work quietly, etc. - The room layout used space very efficiently, providing space between the sofa, kitchen, and bedroom. - Nice closets and bathroom - The room was very bright with big windows and natural lighting

CanadaHaving to pay 30.00 per night for valet parking is a bit steep. This should be made very clear when booking the hotel. They do not have any self parking only valet.

United StatesAfter several days, breakfast pickings had become quite slim. Presuming this was the result of cancelled/delayed weather-related deliveries. Still, we were happy to have breakfast available.
This was an unplanned stay resulting from storm damage and power outages. Hyatt House is short distance from home and was inundated with similarly affected residents. Love that facility is pet-friendly. Staff was friendly and patient and made every attempt to accommodate our request for stay extension while waiting for utility to restore power to our home. Thank you!

United StatesI've stayed at a couple of Hyatt Place hotels before (not Hyatt House, though) and was sad to use paper plates and plastic cups, utensils etc. I do understand the difficulty of washing everything, but the single-use aspect of everything was a little disappointing. When I'm eating breakfast in a hotel, I don't want to feel like I'm eating at a fast food spot. Not a deal-breaker, though!
Breakfast was great, everything else was well-prepared, eggs potatoes and bacon or sausage. Ice cold orange juice, sekf-serve waffles if you wanted them, and the coffee was delicious, too! 10/10!

United StatesA couple of the reception staff were disengaged and practically unfriendly, staring at their phones, playing games on the computer (I could see when I passed by) or just generally cold. The hotel was nearly empty but we were put in a room facing a parking lot and right next to trains for some reason. Ended on a bad note when it was so difficult to get our final bill. The receptionist wasn't there, the valet helped me leave my email address for her, 5 days later still no invoice, I tried getting it on hyatt.com, and booking.com with no luck so I had to call back and try again and I'm still waiting.
The breakfast was wonderful, most of the staff were very friendly and the room was very nice. Got housekeeping whenever we needed it. We were grateful they could find us a roll-in/walk-in shower. We loved being so close to the food trucks and two main roads so I could walk to stores we needed. Most staff were very friendly, including the valet we never used!

United StatesIn a newly developed area of high rises in Beaverton it almost felt like you were staying in an abandoned city. Only a few restaurants and no shops nearby. The trendy gray color scheme was depressing.
The hotel seems fairly new. The staff was great. Less than a block from public transport.
