How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Well, they could have darker coffee that would be great and other cream is besides just one like hazelnut that would be beautiful because I come here all the time and I do not drink your coffee because it’s not dark and you don’t have any other flavor creams thank you very much. I appreciate it. I still love this place and will continue coming back

The bathroom felt suffocating with no windows, no shelf, no garbage can or sink. Just a toilet and shower. Also, with shower being all glass, if someone needs to use the toilet while another is showering, they can’t because you’re on display through the glass, directly in front of the toilet. Major privacy issues. There was less than a quarter roll of toilet paper when we got there and we ran out and it’s not stored in the bathroom, so we had to hunt it down where we eventually found it on the top shelf of the clothing closet - not even on a shelf where the sink and mirror are, outside of the bathroom. My daughter was menstruating and there was no trash can to throw away her hygiene products, inside of the barhroom, it had to be carried out of the bathroom to be disposed. There wasn’t a list of channels like most hotels will have, for the television. There wasn’t a menu available in the room for the hotel restaurant. There were ants EVERYWHERE in the room. Room 421. I don’t like how we need the key card in the slot near the door in order for the lights to work but it wasn’t a deal breaker, just slightly inconvenient because I’ve never had to do it before. The breakfast was primarily all carb based. There were eggs but no cheese and the meat was very round and very difficult to chew, turkey ham… not appetizing at all. Also, there about 10 kids in the pool who were throwing all of the furniture from around the pool, into it and no one every once came and said a word. It was absolute chaos. The fitness center was full of kids under the age of 14 running around and climbing up and down all over the equipment while the other teens in the pool were throwing the furniture in! Like I said, absolute chaos and I cannot believe a staff member allowed this to go on for as long it went on. No one ever said a word to anyone.
I loved the large windows on our top floor king suite!

The hotel was welcoming, clean and in the perfect location!! The staff were exceptional! Super friendly and helpful. The room was huge and so clean. The shower was nice and hot. The bed was super comfortable! Awesome breakfast with great variety. The Melting Pot shared the same vicinity (yum!!) Practically walking distance to KOP Mall. We’ve stayed here probably 5 times and will continue to come back. 5+ stars Hyatt House!
