The rooms could use more evenly placed lighting there was one large corner over the table with no light at all. I had to bring in a lantern to see. It was fine during the day with the curtains open but at night it could have used a bright pole lamp. The room was a little dated but typical for that area. My shower knob was a bit broken but it worked.. my 9-year-old. Old granddaughter found some repair work that was needed on the playground I addressed this in an email to the property manager. I loved the benches outside the room but they were a bit hard on the bottom and not very ergonomic not a complaint just an observation as I used mine every morning I just put a gel cushion from my car on it. This has nothing to do with the property but places to eat are hard to come by. Many restaurants( not that there are many) are closed at strange times on odd days. The mobil gas station not far in Wilmington serves breakfast sandwiches and some lunch items.it is also a mini grocery store. Not a bad idea to stock up on breakfast and lunch fixings to have in your room. Saves money as well as keeps you from getting caught short if things are closed.

Things for the kids to do. Playground, pool, board games, and books to borrow, they even had children's books. A fire pit with lots of seating was available out back. I brought out s'more fixings and we had a gathering of guests with kids all happily playing.. The rooms were large and comfortable. A self-serve office no waiting for something you need. A kureig with real mugs in every room as well as a backup in the office. Benches and hooks are outside every room under a covered walk. Very pet-friendly. All of the guests were quite friendly and social. It felt like upscale camping. Friendly laid-back atmosphere. The beds were comfortable and the sheets were soft. The air-conditioning worked well. The rooms were large and clean and the shower had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. I would stay here again. Great location for hiking, fishing, skiing in the winter, and touring the area.

The beds are comfortable but super high.

This is kid and pet friendly hotel located 15 minutes away from Lake Placid. We enjoyed the playground and the green areas a lot. The pool was a little cold but we still enjoyed it. We also enjoyed all the trails and outdoors activities around.

No staff around even in the morning. We checked in after 7 so the pre check in was fine. The dining and restaurant was a great experience with the meals being delicious.

Restaurant was closed. Our bathroom sink backed up quickly. Our fan was very noisy.

The room had character. Close to Whiteface. Easy check in and check out.

Massive dust bunnies underneath the bed. Wouldn't have noticed if I didn't sleep on the floor which is a fault of my own I suppose.

Excellent location near Whiteface in a tiny room (budget double). For four friends on a budget we couldn't have been happier. Like a motel, but with a sophisticated vibe, beautiful scenery, and accomodating staff.

The only thing we had a problem with was the soap/shampoo dispenser. We brought our own, because they didn't used to be in the bathroom, and I was pleasantly surprised to see the dispenser. However, once in the shower, I realized that nothing comes out! Maybe an airhole is necessary in the top to get the flow going.

The location is great if you are going to Lake Placid or White Face. Just far enough out to eliminate most of the traffic. The meal at the restaurant, as always, was amazing. The rooms are clean and comfortable. My husband and two kids climbed dix and hough, and two other kids and I played golf and went to Oktoberfest.

The Keurig in the room had not been cleaned. I had to clean it before I could use it. It did work well and it was nice to have k cups. Not sure if the shower curtain was changed between guests. A microwave in the room would have been a plus.

We loved the location, close enough to the attractions but on the outskirts of town. It was fairly priced. The beds were comfortable. The room was for the most part clean. The walk in shower was nice and had great water pressure. The room was dark for sleeping, no bright lights outside the windows. We really liked how the office had extra towels and toiletries readily available. They also offered k cups and a Keurig in the office and in the room. Nice restaurant right on the property. $$$ We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

Needs updating and replacing the carpet with plank flooring would help, a larger fridge with small freezer compartment would be nice

I liked the location, my wife did think the decor was outdated and had a slight musky smell. She felt if it could be updated and remove the carpet and replace it with plank flooring would really help. I would have liked a little larger fridge with maybe a small freezer compartment. But we will stay here again. We had no issues and liked the electronic lock system
