We booked a lodge and had a wonderful stay. All the staff were super friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. The facilities were clean and the beds comfortable. Checkin/checkout was easy. Having the laundry on site with a coin dispenser next to it was a great help. All the campers abided by the rules and there was no noise late at night, even on July 4th!

No door on second bedroom. Even a folding or bifold door would make this cottage exceptional. Unfortunately the mouse was running about in bedroom looking for food. Also mouse poo in kitchen cupboard.

Clean high standard fittings. Excellent location. Family friendly. Quiet treed situation.

Dishes are heavy. I felt I could have broken them cause of the weight and lifting them high.

The bed is surrounded by walls on three sides so once you’re in you’re there for the night or climbing over your bed partner.

Location was beautiful. Very short drive to Durango train station.

Our heater didn't work the first night and the bed was VERY firm (too firm for us - and we like a firm bed).

This place is super cute! Lots of options for camping/RV sites, as well as a few cabins, which is where we stayed. Most sites had great access to the little creek, which was fun for our kids. The grounds were clean and well-marked so it was easy to navigate. Each cabin has its own parking space, porch, and checker board! The dog park and playground for the kids were especially nice (even though we didn't bring our dog this time). It also has on-site laundry facilities and a pool, which was closed during our stay since we were there in October. They even gave us a scavenger hunt for our boys, which was a very cute treat for us and gave a chance to explore the grounds a bit. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the front office has a nice little gift shop with a mix of necessities and fun things for the kids, all reasonably priced. We'll definitely remember this place for our annual trips to Durango!

The booking add said that the cabin had a 'private bathroom', but it has only very tight areas with toilet and sink. For shower you need to use the communal one across the road. It's near by, but it was a surprise as we didn't expect it.

The camp grounds are nice and the cabin was tiny but cozy. It's really well equipped. Pool was quite old, but it was nice that it was there to cool off and relax after the hikes.

bed was so high a little step would have helped. having screens on all windows was needed esp with it being hot and only one ceiling fan.

it was quiet, deck and picnic table outside nice - would have liked two chairs outside to watch the birds. bed was comfy . very cute with what they did to make place more functional.

We stayed in the cozy cabin and the only complaint is that it wasn’t well marked. It was tucked back in the trees and the sign said “miners cabin” so we had a hard time figuring out if it was the correct place.

The property was beautiful and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was lovely.

We had cooler nights and the cabin remained cool during the day - AC units or splits would add to the comfort.

Very nice lodge house with 2 bedrooms, lovely porch, very quiet. A brook and a nice pool. Very friendly and helpful staff. Close to Durango but a little removed.

Booking site didn’t clearly explain that it was a very small shack with no shower. We had to use a bathhouse that had no hot water in most of the showers. Also the half bath window in the small hut was stuck open and was freezing in morning and late night in the toilet area. Just wasn’t that comfortable ( space heater and fan was only way to control temps) and the bed wasn’t great either. I wouldn’t stay here again for that kind of money. Booking.com showed pictures of a nice cabin for rent and that’s not what we got.

It was very quiet and not too far away from the town.

They were dishonest about attached bathroom. Attached half bath(no shower). Barely a half bath. Would have to crawl over other person to get out of bed. Stayed there for an hour and left. Would have spoke to someone but they were gone. Not at all what their pictures show.

    Nothing negative at all!

Tiny house, aka, Creekside Cottage was so cute, clean and perfect for two or three people. One queen bed and bunk beds. Very clean, hot water, great shower, comfortable sofa. Little front porch to sit on and enjoy the little stream nearby. Also, it was so quiet all day and all night!!

    Very disappointing!

Where do I start? I arrived an hour or so before regular check-in time and instead of extending a courtesy because the "cozy cabin" was ready to be occupied, instead, I was told if I wanted an early check-in I would have to pay an additional $10.00. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing? And then I received a text the night before checkout telling me if I would like a late checkout (which I couldn't leave fast enough) then I would need to pay them $20.00. All the staff except one named Jay( as I recall) made me feel like I was putting them out. The "cozy cabin" was roasting, we asked for a fan, and it was an act of Congress to get one. It took hours. Anyway, the overall stay was very disappointing. Also if you are over 6 feet, I would reconsider staying somewhere else, unless you like to bump your head going to the bathroom!

there was only one thing I liked and that was one employee by the name of Jay (if I recall his name Correctly)

The beds! Need More/thicker blankets for cold nights. Price of stay. Neighbor kept porch light on over night which was too bright and prevented us from hanging out outside and attracted bugs. Needs hot tub.

Location by the river. Cute cabin. Good amenities.

I didn't like that the site didn't say the cabin didn't have air conditioning. There was no warning. Not a big deal really because the weather was beautiful but something you like to know when booking. We Had to request fans with the walkie talkie because we had no clue there wasn't any air. Also not sure why but the hot water heater broke and I wasn't able to shower in the cabin.

I loved the location and the camp grounds.
