How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The carpet was badly stained and worn. The doors and decor were very dated.

Jacuzzi tub, not going to try to shower in a 3' tub. Not safe. Breakfast was poor!!

Shower temperature was extremely sporadic. I had a hard time getting it stabilized, and never did, but I got by

Breakfast is a zero. Hands down. No pool. No hot tub. Seemed to be a lot of Karen’s staying there and complaining about everything.
Georgia-the general manager was exceptional. They made proper accommodations for my service animal. We stayed for weeks, only going home for the weekend for work, and we forgot some things in our room. They called to tell us and held it for us til we came back. They are trying to improve the hotel with renovations, but the contractors took the money and ran. Very clean. Very quiet.

I think our neighbour in the next room lived there and had his/her television on night and day at just enough volume to be a bit disturbing. We didn’t complain of anything b/c I’m pretty sure it was just a result of thin walls. The room was perfectly decent, until I went to take a shower and discovered that, instead of a shower head, an irrigation nozzle had been installed. Very tacky and didn’t make for the best shower experience. I don’t know WHAT they were thinking!
Although they are under renovations, we weren’t disturbed by it and our room was nice enough.

Tuesday evening-The neighboring room (134) played the tv too loudly from 5PM until around 10PM and then turned it down, still audible as it was on until at least 3:30AM; or maybe that’s just when I fell asleep exhausted. I was coming down with a cold and really could have used the rest. What would staff had done about it if I had bothered to get dressed and make them aware of it?
Very personable and welcoming front desk staff when I checked in!

Hallway carpet was dirty. Doors were in very bad condition, looked horrible. Room number signed ripped off doors and walls. Room was clean, bed was comfortable.

The property was pretty clean, but everything was worn and old looking. I feel like keeping things updated is a necessity for places as old as this one to compete. A good price doesn’t mean much if you’re looking around your room and thinking, “Ewe.”
There was an error with our booking. The clerk initially could not find the reservation. She did a little digging, though, and figured out that the name it was booked under had been misspelled. She could’ve just told us, “sorry, your reservation isn’t here” and turned us away, but she went above and beyond to figure out what had happened. If she hadn’t, we would’ve been out of luck since they were fully booked. We would’ve had to look for another place with a last minute vacancy - an unlikely prospect in this popular tourist destination.

Hallway carpets were dirty, ice machine on our end of facility didn’t work, a/c unit didn’t work properly, ran continuously, on energy saving mode, on and off constantly.
