How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The breakfast eggs were not great. Their price of the hotel was high compared to Springfield.
The room was very clean and modern. Bed was comfortable.

No issues for us.
We came to visit friends in Bolivar and it was a good option for our stay. The breakfast was decent and we were happy with the room. It was nice to have a number of outlets to charge devices in the room.

There wasn't a Bible in our room, but it could be that someone took it home with them. Which is actually great. Gideon need to be contacted to replace it.

There was a smell on the 2nd floor that was not very pleasant in the hallway.
The breakfast was amazing and the staff was great.

Our room smelt a little bit like smoke when we walked into the room and it persisted every time that we came into the room.
The staff was incredible. I had forgotten my charging cord for my laptop and the person at the desk went the extra mile to find me a cord to borrow. Also, I witnessed her being so patient with a young girl who had broken the coffee pot. She went out of her way to make sure the little girl didn't feel bad. I think the works name was Regina.

The humidity in the room was very uncomfortable but we were ok. Also - the coffee was better when we were there last December. We had a room with Carpet - and the carpet was clean but felt like it was time for a deep cleaning. I didn't like the fact that our credit card kept getting charged. By the end of our stay, there were 6 charges when their should have been two. The desk person said those were CC authorizations, but we have never had an issue before not even when we were there last December.
The Breakfast was good. There was an issue with our first room so they immediately took care of us and moved us to a new room and didn't charge us any additional cost.

Rachel at the front desk was friendly and helpful during check-in and working hard throughout our 1-night stay. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. The breakfast was warm and delicious. It was a great stay.

Dogs were left in their owners rooms unattended and were barking and whining incessantly when I tried to nap before working an evening shift. Luckily, at bed time (1130 pm) they were quiet. If they hadn’t been, my stay would have been ruined. I wasn’t traveling with a pet but unfortunately was put on the “pet wing”. Staff offered to move me but to a room with a double bed and I had reserved a king. No other kings available. I don’t have a solution-just wanted to let you know why my score wasn’t a 10.
Clean, welcoming property. Fresh, iced water provided in lobby. Decor was cute and updated. Desk staff was kind

No Bacon! I need some bacon. They offered to make it for me but I don’t want to put anyone out. I think it’s special days and we missed it.
It was quiet and convenient for what we needed. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Appreciated Rachel very much. Thank you Rachel!!

I'm not a huge fan of elevators to begin with the elevator making a slight creaking noise is my only complaint. But didn't feel unsafe.
Breakfast was good, had a nice variety. Beds were comfy.

Our in laws that stayed there too, had several issues with their room They even changed rooms and still had trouble with that room. Looks like there is not a consistent experience for each room.
Hard working associates and cleaning crew, Very Friendly. Room was fine.

The price for 1 night is very expensive. Plus if you use your debit it shows up twice on your account. It was confusing when it would clear off. The elevator is very slow.
It was very clean. Comfortable beds, the cleaning service does a great job. Staff was very nice.

Can't think of anything
Everything, the lady at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. We only stayed 1 night. The bed was comfortable and the shower had great water pressure after a day of riding in the car.
