How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Cleanliness. It looked like the room had either not been used in a while and quickly cleaned before we arrived, or just constantly cleaned without much effort
Did not get breakfast. Place was dirty enough for me to worry about the breakfast being prepared with clean pots, pans, etc..

A bit outdated. Rooms were fine, but nothing notable. Bed wasn’t the most comfortable, but fine for my overnight stay. Wouldn’t be my first pick if I were to return to the area.
In town for a local event, and the location and price was close enough to where I needed to be.

Dated room, no coffee, tea in room. No blanket. Noisy tenants, the grab and go breakfast was very limited and dirty set up

That I was not allowed to pay cash, nor does it say that in the "pay when you get there" option As I was $6 short on my Venmo debit card,and had to find someone during the midnight hour , while attempting to check in, to Venmo me the rest, luckily I did or I would of bee SOL
Breakfast was an utter joke, and they should not be allowed to say they serve breakfast. Only had two options, packaged muffins or packaged breakfast fruit bars, which does not have fruit inside, only coffee to drink, no OJ no juice no milk, those 3 things and that was it. And muffins were dry and crappy and cold straight out of the refrigerator. Super lame.

everything was ok no complaints 💯☑️mate I should have got the king bed room in stead of 2 fulls size my child sleeps bad lol
everything glad I know how 2 fix things the stove stop working after I bein there for a week so I fix it I am a maintenance supervisor didn't wanna bother rlthem I had 2 cook for my 2 yr old but other than tht everything was better then motel 6 I can say tht no complaints with extended stay

We enter our non smoking room and it’s reeked of smoke so bad that we had to go ask for another room. Luckily they weren’t fully booked and were relocated to another room.
I think the property was in a great location in Portland looks good from the outside. The room locations and numbering were a bit confusing.

Breakfast was minimal, muffins were stale. Hot water, creamef ran out and was not refilled. No refill. No dishes, told they would be cleaned next week. Only 3 uncomfortable pillows. Bed was too hard. Microwave was rusty and gross looking.
Was able to park close to my room.

The bed sizes, ants, that the burners for the stove looked fairly beat up, noisy upstairs guests, and even though there was a stove, sadly no oven. While I won't say, "We will never stay here again!" I can't say this is a place we'll rush to return to, should we have reason to lodge in Portland again.
I liked the simplicity in the process of checking in, nice staff, the parking, that there was a stove, a decent-sized refrigerator, and that there was a Fred Meyer nearby 😅

The porches and walkways were dirty and smelly.. there was some mildew in bathroom.
The room was modern and furniture was new. The to go breakfast was reasonable

kitchen with nothing in it. no cups, coffee maker nothing at all except fridge and microwave. couldn’t even make hot water. people that seemed to be “residents” that had an obnoxious amount of pot smoke permeating up to our room. booked and paid for a double full room and got a single king.TV remote did not work. gross hair and crumbs in bathroom.

Towel rack fell down. Changed rooms due to broken AC. Never saw any sign of housekeeping in 8 days. Breakfast lousy.
Quiet enough. Reasonably clean Reception staff seemed competent.
