How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Burned sheets
The staff was good.. room was good except for some holes burned in sheets. Water pressure was amazing.

I didn’t like how housekeeping came knocking on the door at 9:45. I knew Check out was by 11:00am. I was really pissed off!! I got up, got dress and checked out. Toilet seat was really loose, when I went to turned on the shower, it was making lots of weird noises! Overall the stay was ok

I can only say the only thing I didn’t like was the pillows
The handicap room I stayed in was great walk in shower with a bench was fantastic I was injured and it helped surroundings were great restaurant right on property fast food and diners very close was great will be goin back and I forgot the waffles 🧇 in the morning were delicious and comes with the room No brainer

TV is minuscule and cable is limited, bathroom is very small, pillows are too small, bed not very comfortable.
Good location, parking right in front of the room, clean, well-priced.

The breakfast was reasonable considering the price per night. The place was clean and comfortable, close to the highway which made it easy for me to get off for the night and right back on the following day.

The elevator broke. My handicapped husband had to walk down 4 flights. It was not fixed. There was no plan to fix it.

The town of Waterbury was pretty dirty and we had a very hard time finding a good dinner
The hotel itself was decent. Breakfast was okay. The room had a lot of wobbly furniture but the overall look was modern and clean

No gym was at the location. Could have been more of a selection of food for breakfast.
The breakfast was very basic. Continental breakfast usually has more than toast and waffles. Sadly the only fruit provided was oranges usually most hotels would provide bananas and apples. When I asked for jam Jelly the receptionist was surprised and said no-one had ever asked for that before. A gym was shown on the website but there was no gym there when I arrived. To be honest I booked this hotel because of that as I like to have an early morning work out. I think I should be given some monies back.

There was virtually no breakfast. The coffee/tea machine was broken. There were all of 8 mini yogurts for the entire hotel, all strawberry. No jelly or jam for the toast. No scrambled eggs. One type of Danish and one muffin. The waffle machine worked fine. Call it a Continental breakfast at most, but no real breakfast. It was a factor in our decision since we were on the road. Somebody is cutting corners to up the profit margin. Will look elsewhere next trip.
The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Nice shower. The room was a good size and it had a refrigerator. Could have useded one more chair

No elevator to get to 2nd floor, no coffee available at breakfast. signs in office misspelled and ungrammatical, binder of amenities in room needs replacing, outside sign not readily seen from the road, very tacky front lobby and furniture

The bath wouldn’t drain so by the end of your shower, the water is above your ankles. Breakfast was included but the coffee machine was broken and they offered cereal and toast.
The mattress and pillows were comfortable
