How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The pool was HEAVILY chlorinated, it took two or three showers to get the smell off our bodies. I appreciate having a clean pool, but that was too much of a good thing. There were guests smoking weed right next to the entrance to the hotel and the smoke was wafting into the lobby. Maybe consider moving the smoking area to somewhere further away from where guest frequent.
The facility was clean and the staff was really nice.

I wasn't crazy about dogs other than service dogs on the elevator since I have some allergies. Also heard barking early one morning and saw a couple of dogs off leash in the hallways.
The breakfast is substantial and good. The pool area is very accessible and nice area for gathering.

Musty smell, I'm guessing from the carpet.

Everything was very good, but if I had to find one thing, I would say the quality of the mattress could be better. It wasn’t uncomfortable, but could have been better. I’ve had way worse though.
The best part of the stay by far with the two nice ladies at the front desk. Breakfast was also very good. Room was nice and quiet, very clean. One thing I always look for with hotels, the TV had a sleep timer.

The rooms were excellent. The only issue is one of the rooms. The AC cover seem to be coming off and wasn’t working 100% other than that it was great.

Hallways could use brighter lighting. From the # of people coming late for breakfast, maybe extend it a half hour?
Very good buffet breakfast. Comfortable beds. We were visiting someone in hospital across the road, and this was conveniently closest. Staff were friendly and helpful.

This hotel was a good price in a good location. You will need a car but that was obvious from the listing. Comfortable bed and a comfortable room. I would stay there again.

The AC/heating unit was very noisy. Elevator and the adjoining area felt ancient and cluttered. Breakfast could be better by adding some veggies to the egg and roast potatoes. Biscuit and gravy were unnecessary and not liked by general audience. It would be great if the airport transfers are provided on an extended schedule instead of just 9 to 3 pm Mon to Fri
Rooms were nice and clean. Muffins were good quality. Staff was friendly.

Great price, central location to VT and Christiansburg shopping and dining locations. The free breakfast was really good. Many options to choose from. Way more than a continental breakfast.

At check in I think it was the first thing stated was you break you pay. And they are smoke free. This was stated several times. I finally said that’s great I don’t smoke. I understand policies. And they want you to understand.
This property was clean and comfortable. They are welcoming of pets and have a area to walk your pets . Poop bags included. We stayed one night.

Staff was friendly informative and accommodating. But I've never been told "You break it you bought it." at check-in. Breakfast was as expected, both meh and appreciated. I would have appreciated a printed TV channel lineup card in the room.

The beds weren’t that comfortable and the breakfast was okay. The sliced bread and bagels were hard as a rock as if they had been left out for days.
We liked the location. The staff was very friendly.

AC/heat unit worked but noisy.
