How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Our room was clean but the window shades were old and needing repairs. .
Breakfast is excellent! Food is tasty, personnel there to refill/clean when needed. There is a gym accessible to registered visitors. Great equipment. For an older building it was kept clean and we felt safe. The location is off the main drag so it was pretty quiet.

The toilet did not flush properly. We called them to fix it and they came with a plunger but it was blocked again the next day. Needed more than a plunger.
The property was value for money. Was an older hotel.

Floor is dirty, shower pressure is low, cleaning is only on third night of stay. Parking can be tight especially on weekends. Price could be cheaper.
Great breakfast. Comfy beds. We were able to stay on the ground floor. Location is great. Walking distance to casinos, beach and shops. Early check in.

Got a rotten apple at breakfast. The door was a bit hard to open and close. Floors were a bit dirty.
The beds were crazy comfortable. Location was great - 10 min walk from a private beach and Heavenly village. The breakfast was great.

The lady working the later part of breakfast was extremely rude and wouldn’t let my daughter make pancakes even though there was 15 minutes left of breakfast. It’s unfortunate that she was so rude because the rest of our stay was fantastic. If breakfast is open until 10 am then food should be available until 10 am, not 9:45.

You can hear absolutely everything, all hours of the night. We stayed on the first floor, so we could hear the ice machine, every door slam, everyone walking above us, housekeeping moving room to room, etc.
Close to everything, walking distance to the beach- which can be a real perk during peak season since you won’t have to find parking. They also provide vouchers for the beach that reduce the cost of admission to $5, free after 5 pm. Complimentary breakfast was decent, but busy. However, with 3 kids in tow and the cost of meals In Tahoe, this is a nice bonus. There’s an also a gym with nice equipment, albeit small. For the price being half to a quarter of what other properties were charging, it can’t be beat.

The cooked scrambled eggs & diced potatoes would be cold as if the heater on the pan was not keeping them warm. Could be potentially that they weren't turned on in the 3 mornings we visited.

While there was a kitchen it wasn't really stocked to be able to do much cooking. Wouldn't be great for more than a few days of stay. There was a huge heavy coffee table in the living room which took up too much space and if one was using the pull out sofa a huge inconvenience due to the weight and size. Would have been nice to be able to stream on the TV.
The staff were friendly and attentive. The 2-bedroom room was well laid out and worked for a short stay. The bedrooms were fine and the beds comfortable. The breakfast was fine and the outdoor grill available was good, even though we didn't use it. the location is great - just a couple block walk to the shore or to the town center.

The towels we got were stained, bedding was stained, shower is tiny I’m a petite woman and bump my head into the faucet, noisy you can hear the people outside walking.
Location many places walking distance, beach bouchers, breakfast was full of options, bed was comfortable, staff friendly and efficient, pool and jacuzzi were nice.

Everything was Great. Great staff. Friendly and polite. Asked for a late check out and was giving an extra hour to check out. Great location. We will definitely be back. Dog friendly 🐕 which is why we selected Quality Inn. Overall a Great place to stay 🙌 if you're ever in South lake Tahoe.
