My room hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned; but it was the details, not the main things. The main things (bed, toilet, shower, towels) were clean, as well as the bathroom counter… but there was dust on some surfaces; the glasses and mugs needed to be hand washed by me before use, used/dirty paper coasters in the room. There was a sticky patch on the carpet next to one of the beds. There was an iHome in the room but it didn’t work/didn’t turn on/had no way to be plugged in (I was too tired to check if it was a battery operated situation or if someone had cut the cord at some point, not my problem). One last thing; the thermostat was not present. There was a plastic receptacle for it but it had been taken away.

The bed was comfortable (100% cotton linens) and the shower was hot. In my opinion that’s mostly what matters, particularly at this price range. I liked that the hotel was large; though whatever renovation they did was not in the best taste there is a general grandness to the hotel. The property was slightly tucked away and though there was a major road next door it felt a little private. Staff were professional and efficient.

The elevator was broken once again. We were there in October and elevator not in service then either. We were told it wd be fixed next day both visits and it was not. We climbed stairs to third floor both visits with luggage.

The staff provided bagels, cereal and coffee for breakfast.

It really needs a deep cleaning and some things need to be fixed like the curtains. There was only 1 regular coffee when we checked in. The water getting cold/ being cold, they did tell us that they were doing maintenance, but we both took a cool shower prior to being informed. No one answered the phone when we tried to share the cold water situation.

Size of the room. The bed is super comfy. Nice big window. Location was great! Happy hour at the bar for food. The whole place is awesome, you can tell it was a sweet spot when it first opened, but it needs upkeep.

There was food in the fridge when we got there. Stuff sprayed on the cupboards. It could use a deeper cleaning between reservations. It was not filthy, but could have used some TLC.
