How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Everything met or exceeded expectations!
I had been on the road for 8 days, staying at 4 different similarly ranked and priced hotels...but this hotel was head and shoulders above the rest! I had requested special accommodations from each - this was the only hotel that fulfilled my request, up front, no need to inquire or speak to a manager. On top of that, there are other aspects that were home runs: clean, smell-free, mold free, super comfy mattresses, generous with pillows, and kick-a$$ air conditioning (bonus: AC was quiet!). The staff were wonderful. Parking was easy. Easy to find - good signage. Highly recommend. Will absolutely stay here again when in the area!!

The key cards seriously need to be updated. We've stayed at two different Comfort Inns on this trip and both times we had issues getting into rooms or side doors.
The staff is excellent. They were all friendly, even if only passing in the hall, and willing to step up when they saw we needed help

Our bathroom needs a few things fixed by the tub on the wall/trim with water damage.

Breakfasts in hotels in general could heat the food a little hotter. Gravy and meat especially. Your kitchen helper was a sweetie!

I didn't like the noise coming frim the desk and reception area! It was late 11pm or so, all we could hear is loud talking and laughter! Whomever was working the desk with guest or friend I presume, were loud! We were tired from our drive and really needed peace and quiet! First floor is probably not the best floor to be on when you needed quiet instead of party time!

The rate was much higher due to a football game in town the weekend we visited for a wedding. I'd say we paid at least $75 more per night than justified. There were no towel bars in the bathroom which bugged me but all other things in the room were fine.
The breakfast was the average type of breakfast you'd expect at this type of hotel. It was ok. The mattress and pillows were comfy but the sheets didn't stay snug on the mattress.

TV service was not very good. About every 20-30 minutes, the channels I was watching would become "unavailable" for a few minutes.
Excellent complimentary breakfast. Light complimentary dinner was nice to have but if they are going to do it something warm for dinner would be better.

Connectivity is a challenge. It is near impossible to get an Uber or Lyft. You might want to make your own arrangement for commute. There's only one rental car company (Enterprise) in the town, and even that is unwilling to drop the rental car at the hotel.
Exceptional staff that was ready to help with anything that we needed. The hotel was comfortable and had great value for money

Wasn't anything I didn't like. It was a great stay.
Bed was super comfortable. Room was very clean and the breakfast was great! I really appreciated the fact that sugar free hot chocolate was available. I know that's a minor detail, but I really appreciated it.

Everything nice overall. Suggestions: Pillows are HUGE! … far to big for a smaller person and uncomfortable…places neck in a crooked-up position. Lighter weight blanket would be nice…down comforter can be too hot. Would be nice to have towel bar in tub/shower. Only place to hang washcloth or towels was hook on back of bathroom door which are actually for hanging clothes.
