We got the first floor and the car parked in front of our door started early in the morning and idled which woke me up. The barn door for the bathroom is very heavy. When you are inside the bathroom, there is nothing to grip to close it. There were a few floorboards loose and not attached by the front door. The shampoo container attached in the bathroom was empty, we didn’t notice until the next morning (we only stayed one night). Since we stayed on a weekend, we could hear live music in our room from downtown. Thankfully it ended around 10pm.

Conveniently located in downtown Sonora with shops and restaurant nearby. The fridge and microwave was nice as most hotels don’t have microwaves.

It’s not worth paying for the breakfast there, as there are only available some fruits, yogurt, a coffee, and pre-cooked oats to heat in the microwave.

The mattress comfort was very good. The place felt well located.

No elevators that we saw and we stayed on the 2nd floor. They may have been down the hall but we just used the stairs. Girl at the desk checked us in just fine, but didn’t have many recs about the area.

Very clean and love the vibe the room gave with local art / wood / decor. AC was not turned on when we arrived so it was quite warm in the room but as soon as we turned it on, the room cooled quite quickly. Also great location - we were in for the parade!

The ice machines were not working which made it quite inconvenient to have to go from our room at The Lumberjack over to the Sonora Inn front desk for a staff member to fill our ice. Additionally, we would have appreciated some fresh fruit and/or non-dairy options at the continental breakfast.

We really enjoyed the decor, location, and staff at the hotel. They provided nice recommendations and discount coupons for restaurants nearby. It was a very warm welcome which was appreciated.

Hot water was a bit intermittent. The bathroom mirror was mounted a little high. The room lighting was fairly harsh.

The Lumberjack is situated a block away from Main St. The office for check-in is inside the Sonora Inn across the street. The breakfast is also located there. The Lumberjack building appears to have been recently refurbished. The room was clean and in good shape. The outside areas are well lit at night. There are plenty of good restaurants in walking distance and as a hotel guest there are discount cards available for a few of the restaurants. The free breakfast was decent. They have a waffle maker and the usual pastries, cereal, toast, etc. The coffee was surprisingly good.

It was fine. A nice makeover of an older budget hotel.

Recently renovated. May be the best hotel in town. Breakfast was adequate. You have access to the facilities of the older place across the street.

A bit small for 4 people (2 queen beds) in terms of surface and drawers for clothes. Breakfast is not great, but it's exactly as described and expected (continental; the only cooked items were the boiled eggs).

The location is perfect: in the middle of Sonora, with easy access to restaurants, shops and everything else, including line dancing at The Armory. The actual room was recently upgraded and is very modern, well-equipped with plenty of electrical outlets and excellent connectivity options, including USB, USB-C, and HDMI ports, and option to connect personal devices (phone, laptop, tablet) to the 50" screen. It was super convenient for charging devices, connecting electronics and entertainment. Hard, easy to clean floor (no carpet), sliding restroom door.

It was noisy. We were downstairs so there was a lot of noise from above, then the hallway for housekeeping, and the bathroom barn door and the bathroom itself echoing any noises in there 😬

Parking lot, easy walk to downtown.
