How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We were super sad to get here and find out the pool wasn’t open. We booked/moved hotels to here for the pool and paid double then our other hotel to have the same thing no pool. We were not informed about the pool till after we asked. We could have stayed at our other hotel for 1/2 the price that had no pool as well.. :(

The pool was in a separate building.
The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pool was warm!

Very convenient to Cal Poly Humboldt, super clean and really friendly staff. The parking lot is in a locked gate and the pool is clean and spacious.

The pool was in a different building. The hotel was made up of unajoined units so the pool was in a different building and you had to go outside to get to it. The parking lot was quite small and difficult to move around in. Due to high cost, eggs were not available for the included breakfast. The view from our room was directly at the highway in the front.
The room was good and very quiet despite being right on the highway in the center of town. The staff was very friendly and responded to our maintenance concerns. Close to the water and cool attactions

The location- on the main road

The entire town is infested with homeless addicts. Unfortunately, this problem is endemic to the coast and also at home where we live as well. This will be a problem anywhere in this town and the hotel has done a good job to protect its guests from the crime.
Hotel was supe clean and had great amenities in the rooms. Bathroom bright and very large counter with lots of towels. The breakfast offering was good except they aren't serving eggs due to increased costs as stated on a memo in the room. The parking lot was secured behind an iron gate and fencing. The.bed was super comfortable!

A tiny gym and swimming pool that you can enter with your room card. Fenced parking lots make us feel safer.

The toilet was very low hard for people with mobility issues.
The breakfast was good, no eggs because they were to high for now. The room was big and very nice. The bed was pretty good.

The way that complimentary breakfast is set up the poor guy doing it needed help. There needed to be more tables and chairs.

The parking situation is a bit tricky - locked gate with a code and some spaces are hard to get in and out of. Unfortunately, my car got bumped into during the night (fender-bender), but no one took responsibility or left a note. The neighborhood seems a bit rough, but maybe that is just the general vibe up north?
Good location - close to all the attractions we planned to see. The breakfast options were good, and the swimming pool was a good distraction. The bathtub in the room was exceptional!

Breakfast was sub par minus. Coffee was dark, strong & good flavored. No yogurt, no eggs, lousy Glutinous breads, some GF cereal would have been nice.
Room was roomy. I did not need tow beds. A corner room was nice, as requested, the room was quiet and easy access from the stairwell. Nice tub.
