How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.

Verified reviewThe location was very nice, right on the water. Although I didn’t use it, the kids that were staying at the hotel seemed to be having a great time at the indoor water park. The rooms were nice although I was on the parking lot side of the building so not much of a view. The rooms on the waterfront looked very nice with their balconies.
They had a semi power outage in the evening and into the overnight hours. I had left the facility around 4:00 to go to a family function and when I returned around 11pm, most of the hotel was dark. Getting to my room via the stairs in complete darkness was a little scary. Once I got to the room, I had lights in the main part of the room but nothing in the bathroom….including no water. In the morning, everything was back to normal however I don’t feel like it was fair to be charged the full amount for the night. I asked about it at the desk when I checked out and was told that I would be receiving a call from “senior management” but it’s been 5 days and I haven’t heard a thing.

Had a power outage with no lights in the hallway and no water. Not even an apology from the staff. The pool area was also in desperate need of updates. Tiles were peeling off and the lazy river wasn’t even moving.

Where do I begin...Sliding door to the patio was broken, fridge didn't work, wifi was terrible, faucet in the bathroom was hanging on for dear life, the pool in the water park looked like it hadn't been cleaned in forever, I won't even begin to say about the couch and decor that haven't been updated since the 80s and who knows what was on that. The power went out with no real explanation and were told to just wait until it came back on meanwhile people were stuck on the elevator for hours and we were left in the literal dark with the main doors to the building wide open for anyone to get in and not able to get into our room because they key card locks for the doors didn't work, breakfast was nothing to write home about.. and the biggest disappointment of all is there was dog poop under the desk when we arrived that didn't look like it had been touched for weeks.

The building was dated but clean. The TV kept loosing signal. Around 1030pm Saturday night power went out in the hall ways, my bathroom had no lights and we could not flush the toilet. We went down to the desk and they told us they have maintenance coming but we could write down our info and the hotel would contact us next week. We went to bed around 1am and power was still not on. It was on when we woke up.

Verified reviewThe hotel had a water pipe burst and we were not able to use the sink/ shower or toilet.
The fact of not being able to use the bathroom at all for one whole night of our stay was not acceptable and the staff did not do anything to even try to make it right.
We are truly sorry for the inconvenience caused by the water pipe burst during your stay and the resulting lack of bathroom facilities. We understand how frustrating and unacceptable this must have been, especially without proper resolution from our team at the time. Verified reviewBunk beds were great and the beds themselves were one of the most comfortable mattresses I've slept on. My kids love the water slide and it was cool because I used to stay there when I was a kid with my parents now I'm taking my kids. Restaurant was delicious kids loved the arcade. Didn't make it to breakfast.
Price point was steep.

We were given a room that already had someone in it. We then went to go back down to tell someone and then we almost went without a room. Luckily our friends got married so they got upgraded but seemed a little disorganized.

Verified reviewThe lake view and the lake is amazing! Very clear, clean! Hard, sandy bottom and shallow. I love that there are lounge chairs available so you can sun bathe. The restaurant/bar on site was very good! Drinks and food! You could also get your drinks to go if you are staying on the property. Bartender (never got her name) was the best!! All the employees were very nice and accommodating! The pool, lazy river, hot tub, slide very fun and clean too! We will definitely be returning with our 17 yr. and his buddies.
The only thing I would have to say is the balconies and the chairs need to be wiped down and swept out. Too many dead bugs and spider webs

That we couldn't stay longer to enjoy all of the amenities and the check in process they were swamped and rooms were not ready for guests so the 1 lady that was running check in had to keep leaving to check and see if rooms were cleaned before she could check people in

Check in was supposed to be 3:00 pm. We arrived at 3:45 and they only had one person working the front desk. When it was our turn, they had to check to see if our room was ready. It should be ready as it was now 4:00 pm. No urgency on the staff to speed up the check in process.

It was dirty in the stairwells full of spider's even in the room, not as dirty but still not ideal. The water park was awesome but dated and not well maintained as well as dirty.
