United StatesKitchen had nothing but frig, micro, and 2 burner cooktop. Had to ask for a coffee maker and mugs. No dishware or utensils. Toilet would not flush. Finally had to plunge it in the morning to get it to work. it should have worked when we arrived but it didn't. We had reserved a 2 bed double but only the 1 bed option was available.

United StatesI would prefer cleaner floors( not used to carpeting) and I didn’t open the curtains much because my view was out on the front parking lot.
Nice, reasonably quiet pleasant and accessible location. It was a good place to return to for some comfort and rest. I liked having a refrigerator and a clean shower with good hot water and soap. The bed linens and towels were awesome! I didn’t know about the art fair weekend that was happening during my stay so it was a nice surprise to be staying in a place that wasn’t right in the middle of all the festivities, but close enough to go and enjoy it.

United StatesI have Multiple Chemical Sensitivities and they foolishly sprayed Febreeze in the room. I considered sleeping in my car. Had to wear a mask the whole time. Will only stay again if I can call ahead and have them forego the air "freshener".

CanadaThe hotel elevators were not working and we had to use the stairs to access our 2nd-floor room (not huge, but would've been if we had more luggage). The front-desk clerk was polite and accommodating, but not really personable and seemed less than enthused. The hallways smelled of cigarette smoke (non-smoking rooms) and the hallways were not air-conditioned (ground floor very warm), with windows open at end of hallway on our floor. The bathroom fan comes on with light and is very loud. The room is decently decorated, but lacks many creature comforts available in other hotels of similar price. No conditioner left for guests in bathroom. No iron in room.
The Extended Stay America Suites in Ann Arbor provided decent accommodation for my daughter and I as we attended the NASCAR race at Michigan International Speedway. The room was spacious and the suite had a full-size fridge and kitchen area that was well-appointed. The room was clean and tidy. The hotel area provided ample parking and we felt safe in our surroundings. The hotel provided silverware, a hair dryer and shampoo on request, but we had to go to the front-desk to pick up items.

United States1) At check-in, the desk person had trouble finding both reservations. Finally resolved but maybe a bit more training needed for handling multiple reservations under one name? 2) Elevator out (beyond their control -- lightning strike) entire week. We were on first floor, so okay. Since we both have trouble with stairs (age), we would have appreciated notification prior to arrival in case we needed to make other arrangements. 3) Air conditioner in one room not working. When reported, the desk person said a maintenance person would check it the next day. No offer to put me in another room despite obvious availability. When it was not fixed by the afternoon of the following day, the person at desk immediately put me in another room without me having to ask. Desk staff -- despite our problems -- were all pleasant and courteous. Kudos for that.
The location is great for our needs. Nearby places to eat, easy access to interstate. Comfortable bed.

CanadaRoom felt beat up and furniture is dented, scratched, etc. Lamps on walls were barely attached and had fluorescent ring bulbs. Feels like a college student apartment that was outfitted with Ikea furniture that hasn't been repaired in 10 years.
Rooms are clean enough. Bed was clean and comfortable. Not a fancy stay but clean and comfortable enough because I was by myself looking to save money on a quick visit.
