I was made to initial statement/ paperwork about not making loud noise but people on the 5th floor were making a lot of noise and the staff was aware and stated the guests were celebrating some performance/show. We were not able to sleep that night. We asked to be moved to another room the following day but we were denied.

They couldn’t find my reservation when I got there , there was a sock on the floor when we got to our room( which means it wasn’t cleaned properly) and only 1 key worked and that key didn’t work every time .

The price for the night was good . The breakfast was decent. Staff was nice . They did say I could check out 1 hour late but no later than that.

I was overcharged. I paid in full through Booking.com, but Hotel Arboretum kept adding room charges to my credit card. Before leaving I was able to question one $700 charge that then fell off of my card. After leaving the hotel I noticed that I had been charged again for my three night stay. I called the hotel two times to question the charge, but I was unable to reach a manager. I contested the charge with my credit card and I am still waiting on a resolution. If Hotel Arboretum reverses those charges on my credit card, I will gladly change my review. Edited 7/7/2025 - The charges were resolved through my credit card. I'm changing my review rating based on that resolution but leaving the original post so others can check their bills carefully. Otherwise, the hotel was very clean, the beds were comfortable and my interaction with staff was very good. Everyone treated us respectfully and graciously. There was a graduation party in the hotel during our stay but the party was contained to its space and ended at 9 pm. I would recommend staying with Hotel Arboretum for its relative affordability for the city and its proximity to all things Washington has to offer.

The breakfast was adequate. A little more variety would be nice for vegetarians.

Its a loud neighborhood with all the music venues nearby. But ive stayed at the hotel right next door and was a loud party goer so I didnt expect it to be different.

The receptionist had beautiful eyes and was very friendly despite the long line and wait to check in.

WE HAD TO TAKE COLD SHOWERS EVERYDAY as there was no hot water! And we were under the impression prior to our visit that you had a pool and a hot tub which we definitely needed after our long walking days in DC!

The hotel was nice, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good. The service for our room was good. The location was convenient.

There was a lady from the staff bossing people around at breakfast.. she scolded me for putting my orange juice in the "wrong size" cup.

Very nice front desk, easy to get to location, room was very comfortable, and close to many things to do.

It was a little loud due to being so close to the street, but not too bad. The room keys would also stop working, and we would have to go back downstairs to have them fixed by the staff.

It's not the fanciest hotel, but it's clean, and the rooms are very spacious. Breakfast is simple but keeps me full. The staff is amiable.
