There was no indication when booking that the room assigned was going to be a room without a balcony. I've been coming here since it was a Sheraton in the 90's as a kid and not much has changed. Whatever you do, avoid a room on the 3rd floor. There's no balconies and very little (if any) sunlight in the rooms and hallways which doesn't feel like a vacation at all. We were able to switch to a different room on a higher floor and the difference was night and day. Staff was accommodating to do so and didn't charge us an additional fee despite the "upgrade" I would imagine. Through booking website, the price was as advertised. Apparently they charge a "resort fee" per night when you stay which we were able to avoid, but there certainly shouldn't be one. Everything is paid and there's very few amenities at all that aside from a pool that can even warrant that. Just include the price of the stay into the room and don't try to hit people with additional fees.

Room was nice. Bathroom renovations were appreciated. Location is great (a bit up on the main strip so it's a little less busy) but very easy to take a bus or car down to the main part of Ocean City - about a 10 minute drive down to the boardwalk. Beach area is less busy because it's a little higher up which is what we tend to do for the better part of the day.

There wasn’t much of a balcony…..it was enough for 2 people to stand on but no room for a chair to sit and watch the ocean.

I really liked the location of the property and that there was no charge for parking. They also have a nice bar and the kids enjoyed the pool.

Hotel needs some TLC. It is in disrepair in places it could be cleaner it seems. The cleaning staff isn't able to keep up with the demand. For example, the rugs when you walk into the lobby were always dirty and there wasn't anyone tending to that. One day we walked in and the entire lobby smelled like sewer gas. They have all these dehumidifiers sitting in their lobby cuz obviously the air condition isn't working right.

I like the amenities and the restaurants were excellent on the property.

A little on the pricey side. (YES every penny counts.) Next time I'll have to plan a Tues through Friday stay. Probably would have been a better experience had the HVAC been operational. And sorry about the issue y'all had (We were guests just before the CO incident) Despite the setback we do plan to return again some day.

The room was spacious and looked nice...glad that the ocean was visible from the balcony. Bar and restaurant and bistro were great - wish I could take the views back to my room! Curious to know if the indoor pool is still in use under the grand atrium floor. Beautiful space by the way...get a DJ or some sort of stage act in there and things could get hopping! LOL <wink, nudge, idea> Dog friendly hotel and beachfront to boot!

The pool is very small for the size of the hotel and can get crowded. Beach chairs provided by the hotel are not very good quality and can be uncomfortable for some. Not enough seating in the rooms or places to charge devices. Portable AC units to keep hotter public areas cool were unsightly. Elevator wasn't slow but it wasn't fast either. Service on the beach was spotty (i.e you couldn't find someone). Soap and toiletries in room were average and not enough. AC units in the rooms were super loud but did their jobs in really hot weather. Some public areas could use touching up around the beach bar. Rooms could have been laid out better for their size. Public area around the tap room was total wasted space (used to be an indoor pool)

The location is great as well as the beach bar and grill. They provide you beach chairs and umbrellas which was really good. Activities on the beach and beach bar service were also a really nice feature. Fitness center was totally.adequate for most things. Hot tub was a good size. Great happy hour and good drink specials and overall drinks were pretty solid. Easy check in and hotel is easy to navigate. Tide room and tap room are ocean front which is very nice and gave you good options for.eating on property, plus the beach grill. Overall decor was coastal modern and felt.newish. Rooms were clean but very basic. Service overall was pretty good.

Wait staff at outdoor restaurant was mediocre. Some areas were not looked after, especially the hallway decor. (Dirty mirrors, dead plants.) Balconies are terrible. You should add to the description that you are unable to sit out on them. I did stand out there to enjoy the view.

Location was perfect. Lots of fun people. Beautiful room and housekeeping was very friendly.

In the booking photos they show that there are umbrellas and chairs of the hotel to be comfortable on the beach. However, they weren’t there. I would have loved to enjoy this service and be comfortable on the beach.

Everything in the room looks nice, tidy and clean. Just like the spaces inside the hotel, all very nice and comfortable. The staff was friendly!

It is very hard to go up and down levels on this hotel. There is always a significant wait for the elevator, it takes forever and often is already filled with guests, hotel staff and carts, so even when it opens for you, you can’t get on that one and have to wait again. The stairs are inconveniently located (not obvious how to find them even) - there isn’t even a stairwell that reaches every floor including the lobby- there is one flight of stairs from the lobby to the 2nd floor, and then you have to walk down the hall and take another flight up. No one seems to know about the stairs, which makes the elevator even more overcrowded. I sincerely wonder how this hotel could safely evacuate everyone in an emergency. There is no indoor pool, and the restaurant is ridiculously overpriced for meals that they barely seemed to try on - skip it.

Great location on the beach and walking distance to many shops and restaurants. The hotel provided beach umbrella and chairs, which was appreciated.
