How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewLove having basic dishes, sink and freezer for a much needed break from takeout on our road trip. The room was laid out perfectly for our family of 5, including a curtain partition between sofa bed and other beds. I liked that the products they offer for soaps, etc were more natural. The breakfast was a little random but overall everyone found something they liked and the kids loved the waffle bar and toppings. Overall it was a great stay.
The hours for breakfast only go until 9 and they closed promptly - we needed a little bit more time.

Verified reviewIt was in a nice spot and the room was large and comfortable. The staff was helpful.
The first room we were given was dirty, the bathroom sink was broken, and the phone did not work.
Thank you

Verified reviewI like how close it was to restaurants, Walmart, and splash Lagoon
The breakfast was horrible. It was like they made it the day before. The biscuits were rock hard.
Thank you, but being yelled at because we close our free breakfast service at 9am and you came at 9:30 demanding we feed your children could not be tolerated.

Verified reviewThe breakfast was amazing. The pool was a nice size and the Queen suite had nice pillows, and a great kitchen. The amount of soap and shampoo was great. The trash bags were dinky and no more were available in the room but the front desk gave us black trash bags which was nice. The facility was clean.
Our key cards didn’t work initially and then there wasn’t a worker at the reception desk for several minutes to help us in the moment. The general manager got the door to open so it was unclear what happened. The coffee in the lobby wasn’t hot and available all day. There was a big laundry basket full of dirty pool towels but clean towels were never brought out. The sheets on the sofa bed were dirty, but they did give me clean ones. There were visible wrappers and trash under the couch. There was trash from people before us in the waste baskets. The bag of extra blankets had visible hairs throughout the bag and when I asked the front desk for a new blanket, I was given a puffy fitted sheet. We were in a suite with a kitchen and I asked for a broom and dustpan to sweep the floor and the front desk sent housekeeping to clean the floor; when she knocked she had a mop and I said I would just like to clean up some food- she gave me the broom and returned a few moments later to tell me there’s no dustpan but she would clean the room. Housekeeping never came, but took the trash.
Thank you

Verified reviewGreat location near all the hustle and bustle of Peach St, right across the street from Splash Lagoon! A little bit of a drive from Presque Isle/Waldameer, but nothing too crazy! Staff was very nice. Breakfast was delicious and fresh, lots of different options. We loved the pool, warm temperature of the water and the room itself, very clean, and a cute little patio area to the side of it. The room itself wasn’t perfect, could’ve used a little bit of a better cleaning, the fridge and coffee tray could’ve used a little bit more of a thorough clean, but really nothing too bad at all. Housekeeping seems to be understaffed which I can empathize with personally working in a similar line of work so I understand! Sheets and towels smelled freshly laundered and were clean, bathroom was stocked with extra towels, soap, tp. Nice cool AC and when it got a little too chilly at night, I turned the temp on the thermostat up a few notches and it was perfect. Bed was comfy, room is spacious with a nice little kitchenette area. Wifi worked great. Lobby was clean and welcoming and even had crayons and coloring sheets to keep my littlest one occupied while we waited for our room lol.
Upon checking in, there was an issue with the front desk staff informing me my payment was declined. I had booked a few weeks in advance through booking.com, which was no fault of the hotel staff themself, but on booking.com’s end I was told. Caused a slight panic since we were two hours from home with two young kids, and the payment had already come out of my checking account and I had the confirmation number and everything. Regardless the front desk staff (wish I could remember their names!) helped to sort the issue in a prompt manner and were kind about it. Only constructive criticism I have would be to do a little bit more thorough cleaning of the rooms, but like I said, was nothing major. Also the walls are a little thin and you can hear a lot of noise from nearby rooms, thankfully I travel with a sound machine so it was fine!
Thank you

Verified reviewLeaving.
False advertisement of EV charging stations. Waiting twenty minutes without a line to check in, due to hotel staff being on the phone with another guest. Trash in hallways! Managers lack of communication or decency to return a phone call.
Thank you but on the Hilton site it does not have chargers. I am sorry for the confusion.

Verified reviewWe always like Home 2 Suites because they are reliably excellent facilities - modern with a great kitchenette and sitting area. The bed was very comfortable, and breakfast was better than most. We stayed just one night as a stop on a long car trip. There are a lot of hotels in this area (I'm not sure why), but I would stay here again.
Nothing - everything was great.
Thank you

Verified reviewThe room size was great. Having a corner king size room was amazing, great view. Several different seating areas was very nice, with tables. I would go back again. Sorry we didn't eat there, went to the casino instead. (Three Sister's for breakfast, a buffet $17) although it was offered at the hotel. And next door A&W eatery for lunch. A brunch was also offered on saturday at the hotel, which we did not go to. 😔 We loved the stay 😊👌👍 Mike the manager was very very helpful, our parking fee for the 3 days was taken off the bill. The front desk supervisor Adriana gave me extra points on my account for being a choice hotel member for the Inconveniences we encountered.
The shower door wouldn't stay closed, ( water all over) we figured it out and a blind would not go down. We figured it out. No dressers for clothes, that was different. No microwave in room, but it was one downstairs. Not Convenient.
Thank you
