The location was perfect for visiting the downtown area, restaurants and shopping. Breakfast selection was varied and appealing, thank you for accommodating our gluten free request. Accommodations were clean and comfortable.

Having to leave

Betty and Phil have a beautiful home. It is a feast for the senses. Tastefully decorated and extremely warm and inviting. Our breakfast was amazing and getting to know Betty and Phil was wonderful. We are already looking forward to our next visit and will stay there again in the Dutrow room.

Friendly, knowledgeable hosts, convenient location, super comfortable bed in a spacious room. The breakfast was outstanding and also loved the cookies on arrival. Can't recommend highly enough!

For me, the steps were a bit difficult. You might mention them in advertising to alert guests with mobility issues.

We enjoyed most talking to our hosts when we arrived and the next day at breakfast, which by the way, was delicious. The location was perfect, close to town and many interesting restaurants. This is the perfect location to spend a few days in Frederick.

bathroom sink was separate from the shower/toilet room. Awkward but not a huge issue.

The facility is in a great location, within walking distance of several nearby restaurants. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The owners were very pleasant and gave us the option to move to a room with a king-sized bed. The home-cooked breakfast was delicious (particularly compared to those served by hotel chains that we stayed at during this trip).

The bed was waaay to soft...lumpy...quickly became a valley bed and I, the lighter weight person, was in the valley! The owner has many many collections, each lovely in its own way, but for anyone w/ a dust allergy it's tough. In our bedroom, one could not open a window for fresh air. If there in hot weather you'll use a window AC unit = could be noisy. I think 11:00 AM checkout is the earliest we've ever encountered. My husband made the reservation...I do not know if there was a question asking if guest/s had a food allergy. I cannot eat any peppers - the breakfast casserole had them, I'm also on a low sugar diet (doctor prescribed) and the fruit appeared to be from a can = more sugar than if fresh, the fabulous plain greek yogurt had agave and cool whip added to it so that was not edible for me. I did not think at the time to ask for unaltered yogurt. I suggest to offer plain food and let the guests add what they want: scrambled eggs + veggies, salsa, cheese etc on the side, plain yogurt and let guests add as they like.

The location was perfect. Park one's car & walk into town. Quiet neighborhood. Well kept neighborhood. An easy walk to our friend's home. Water & wine & munchies available which was nice.
