Tha hot tub was out of order which I was the main reason I chose this hotel. I would have stayed closer to my destination had I known that.

We had a pleasant stay. The receptionist was friendly. Our room was clean. We liked that the pool was indoors since there was some rain during our stay. The breakfast was good. There was a nice mix of hot and cold items.

Enjoyed coffee and yogurt, turkey sausage with gravy that goes with the biscuits before leaving on Monday. Two big things to note: Forgot my razor when packing and needed to shave. Asked the front desk if they sold razors in the store. Turns out they offer razors and other toiletries gratis. Thank you for the razor. Liked also the beautiful landscaping around the property. Flowers in bloom everywhere, roses, lilies, etc. Parking lot is clean, well-lighted, safe. There was a flyer explaining that a large investment was recently made to the property with updated furnishings, decor, etc. Looks nice. Room, bed, bathroom, all comfortable and clean. TV is Direct TV and worked great. This property is close to Sylva and a great choice if visiting Sylva, Balsam, or other place nearby, or if taking the road south to Athens, GA. Easy access on/off the highway. IHG Hotels very reliable with good quality control. Not a risk like some AirBnb or bargain chain.

The amenity that had me drawn to this hotel was the hot tub. It was disappointing to see it out of service.

Toilets were standard height, which is very low for tall people and especially tall senior women.

Desk staff and cleaning staff were super nice and helpful. Great choices for breakfast. I especially liked the pump hand soap. It's much more sanitary than the old bars. The hotel was just perfect and not over the top. Everything felt cozy, even with a full building of guests.

The rooms were very clean. The shower and tub were nice. The Dove products provided were great. The beds were comfortable. The staff were very nice and helpful. We will stay here again if in the area.

This is a bit of a stretch, but they ran out of forks at breakfast. And the window blackout shade doesn't do very good at blocking the edges, so light still shines through.

We've stayed at many Holiday Inn Express locations, this one was something special. The management team at this hotel takes pride in this property! TV is Samsung brand, so all the functions worked correctly. The shower door is the coolest glass door and closure system I have ever seen! The lobby was decorated for Christmas. A lot of little things just showed they care!

Room thermostat didn't adjust quickly for sleeping. Also would love to see a little more for buffet. Bacon and not just sausage. And potatoes were out and more not made so if you weren't some of the first down there you didn't get any and I heard they were great!

Only one person taking care of breakfast. All cooked food was out at 8:45am. The person working worked as fast as he could but needed another person to help replenish food to very busy, large number of people waiting for breakfast.

The heating thermostat is faulty. If set at 69 degrees it would never come on and it was cold in the room. If you set it to 70 degrees it would come on and never go off, very hot in room

The only complaint we had was that the water in the hot tub did not look clear. It may have been because of the light that was in it but couldn't tell.

The fact that there was a $100 deposit I knew nothing about but once I asked I was told I would receive it back in 24-36 hrs!

Check in was a little stressful as we were trying to keep our kids occupied while the guy at the front desk was on the phone for a good while before acknowledging us at all. Workout area was a bit tight and the bike was not working. When we first arrived room was hot and humid and bedding was wet to touch but staff was quick to come and change all sheets for us. Hallways stunk of trash. Bathroom sink faucet was to close to the edge so every time we used it water would go on the counter. Phone did not work in room. Did not see any signs for the ice maker.

Comfy beds with enough space for my family of 6. Quiet. Pool and outside area were clean and enjoyable. Felt safe.
