How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

A bit far out of town and the breakfast was very minimal as a lot of items were already gone and not replaced / topped up

Pull out mattress was old as dirt and stained on bottom
I loved the staff, bed was way soft, literally sucked you into the mattress. Linens clean, breakfast had a lot of choices. All in all a great experience!

I booked 3 rooms and because the hotel was overbooked I had to get my rooms on distended floors. Also online it was stated that the pool was open and it wasn't

The smell as we entered the hotel and the smell in the elevator. Also we did not get cleaning services our second day. Not sure if the worker did not understand that we were just not ready when she first came but she never came back and so when we returned at the end of the day the room had not been cleaned.

I’ve stayed at another Holiday Inn Express in Memphis & the staff taking care of breakfast was a lot better.
It was convenient & well kept. I was grateful they had security cameras around the property.

Didn't like the fact that my nephew made the reservation for me under the impression that I was to pay when when my stay was completed. However, they charged my stay to his credit card he used to secure the room the same day that I checked into the hotel. Then, when I left ( upon checkout) I paid in cash. So, the room was paid for twice. It took them several days to find someone who could correct the error. That was ridiculous.
The location was great , right near the interstate which made it easy to travel to our destinations.

Angel met me on front desk and I simply couldn't ask for a friendlier more knowledgeable person to greet me all my questions were answered with extra helpful tips, she deserves a raise that girl.

The female bartender was rude-didn’t want to be “bothered”:( Other staff were lovely!
Room staff was nice and comfortable and clean. Reasonable walking distance to downtown. Very nice breakfast!

I didn't like the fact that when making the reservation, I elected to pay upon completion of the stay/ at check-out. As per your proper protocol, the front desk was to actually see the credit card which was guaranteeing payment - NOT to charge it to the card. That didn't happen. My aunt paid in cash at check-out ( 08.31.2024), but my card was also charged at check-in ( 08.30.2024 ). Following this ordeal, I was unable to speak to anyone at the hotel who could assist me with correcting this error on YOUR part. Finally, Ms. Whitney, bless her heart, helped me out. I'm still upset at the way this was handled. My account is still missing that money. This is unacceptable.
I made reservations for my aunt who was coming in from Chicago. The answers are hers not my own.

Restaurants not really close by. If you want to go to good food restaurants it’s about 15-20 mins out. The water doesn’t get hot at all (sink & shower). Had to take a cold shower. The power went out on the first floor when I stayed, but that wasn’t the hotel control. They didn’t have breakfast due to the power outage. The day of leaving, the housekeepers were banging on the room doors at 850a asking us what time we were leaving. I felt like that was very unprofessional because check out time is at 11am. I felt like the housekeepers were rushing everyone to get out! I’ve booked this hotel once before & I didn’t get this treatment last time.
Hotel was very clean. The staff were nice.
