How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Hot tub wasn't working and we ordered a room with a King size bed on booking.com but instead we got 2 queen beds
The location was noisy due to traffic, but the room was quiet even though we were near the elevator.

We had issues with the plumbing in our room. The sink and tub would back up with every use and the toilet would clog every other flush. We had to call maintenance to our room twice! We were on the 4th floor, not sure if that had anything to do with it. Unfortunately, the hot tub was closed our entire stay. The water machine in the gym wasn't working; I informed the front desk and the next (and last) two days of our stay there was just an 'out of order' sign on the machine. There was only one ice machine on the first floor, no big deal, but it too had an 'out of order' sign on it as well.
The staff up front and the housekeeping were amazing, kind and friendly! The breakfast was good and the staff that work the breakfast bar were exceptional and quick! The kids enjoyed the pool.The beds were comfy and the room was a pretty good size for our family of four.

Room had a bathtub, but there is non-slip epoxy on the bottom so you cannot sit in the bath. It's rough and scratchy. Hotel surrounded by highway and busy roads so lots of road noise inside and out. Very urban. Staff was NOT very friendly. Really felt like I was annoying and disrupting them every time I asked something. Very Expensive fee for pets now.
Breakfast had variety and ready on time. Room was clean. Hot water worked very well.

WiFi did not work. Couldn’t stream Netflix or any other tv. We were there for 4 nights with kids so it was hard only having cable.

Road noise, not the hotel’s fault.
The location was excellent. Great breakfast, the food was fresh and tasted good; the hot food was hot and the cold food was cold. Parking was free and ample. The reception desk was staffed 24 hours, all team members were friendly and helpful. The entire hotel was clean, my room was quiet and comfortable.

No other payment option expect payment through Guest own credit/debot card. Atleast Cash must be allowed. Shower needs to have proper curtains. During bath water spills over floor and comes out of the washroom to entrance area.

Location with pet was the busiest part of the hotel. Pet was fine! But it was noisy at early AM hours for breakfast set up, 5:30AM breakfast goers, lots of foot traffic. Next time I will ask to not be on the first floor.
Breakfast was very good. Always helpful to have that provided as part of the stay when you are juggling all the things you have to do and places you need to be on a trip. I also appreciated the the hotel accepted a very large dog (120 pounds) who was in town for an obedience trial at a nearby dog show.

Fitness center too basic for weights. Universal rack would be better. The hallways on the 3rd floor had a particular scent to it that was not pleasing to me

The only thing was the comforter on the bed didn't go up far enough to cover our shoulders and we got chilled. Maybe we could have untucked the comforter but once in bed we didn't think to do that.
The room size, the furnishings, cleanliness, comfortable mattress and pillows.

There was a lot of road noise through the night, but I'm a country boy so YMMV. FWIW, we called a few times requesting an early check in. Staff appeared very uninterested in assisting us with this request. "Sorry -- no rooms are ready." I know they have no obligation, but the property was definitely nowhere near full. It seemed pretty clear to me that they did not want to be bothered.
