How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Tiny bathroom, hubby is a big man 6'5'' almost 400 pounds struggled to get in the shower or to shut the bathroom door.
Clean, most staff were very nice.

People in the neighboring room were a bit loud. I could hear there TV through the wall. They had in ALL NIGHT. more an annoyance than anything else.
In town for a Spartan Race. Was able to rest before competing. Clean, easy to find.

My daughter went down to the front desk to ask about the pool hours. The girl at the desk was on her phone. My daughter waited about 10 minutes before she put her phone away to answer a simple question. Pool hours need to be extended.
It was a great location. It was clean and comfortable. Most of the staff was very helpful.

The only problem I had was the breakfast juice machine was shut off because they said it was leaking water.... I can understand that, however, they should have thought to put out a pitcher of water and or juice too! They basically left us with nothing cold to drink. I asked an attendant to set out a water pitcher and she ignored me or didn't understand English??? I finally took a plastic cup from the juice machine and went down the hall to fill it up with water myself from the men's room sink! A manager knew about the juice machine being turned off. She should have pivoted and thought of a good solution herself. I should not have to be the one to suggest a water pitcher, and then get ignored.

Having to pay a $200 hold fee in cash because I lived within 30 miles from this location. I understand that you have to do what you have to do but this should be been told upfront. No one should have to run around town searching for a viable ATM machine that was extremely Inconvenient.

For the price we should have at least had a Breakfast Sandwich/ Biscuits with juice Had only a small bottle of water two tiny muffins, and two slices of bread without condiments... Terrible end to a decent night's rest...
Only the customer service at 4pm... (Mia Howell)... No hot breakfast

The hotel accommodations were really nice. The breakfast was horrible What Bonus question was good was good. Plotting in your room was good. Most timely then it in our App Store. Share photos that I f***** you up your stay on. It's f****** pictures when I'm f****** staying. When you're taking f****** pictures, I'm gonna f****** Shelby. I think it was a woman I prefer.

The fact that it was still under construction which left some common areas old and outdated.
The location was good, and the it looks like some of it was being renovated but was still under construction.

We really enjoyed our stay even though it was only one night. The front desk was nice, friendly and polite. The room was very clean, quiet with a comfortable bed. We were surprised how much was available for breakfast. Overall, a positive experience and we would stay again when in the area.

There was some construction around, but I knew this ahead of time, and it was actually less intrusive than I expected. I think it might have been one of the reasons the rate was good.
No complaints about food, except that they ran out of most things before the stated closing time.

Just the safety issue.
The room was comfortable and the service was phenomenal! The remodeling was going on but we were not disturbed. We were concerned about some bare wires.

They were in the middle of doing renovations but it was still clean
